Amazing Race Airlines This Week.

Wed Aug 04, 2004 2:20 pm

Well the teams made their way from St. Petersburg to Cairo, Egypt. One team used Air France and the others used Lufthansa. Saw a variety of airplanes this week, LH 737, Singapore 744, LH A320, LH 744, Alitalia ?, AF A330. Love this show!!!

We are a few weeks behind here in NZ, the last show was the flight within Argentina where they flew AR and another airline that I can't remember (operated 737s). It was the one with the chocolate factory and the paragliding.

Nigel, that's surprising. We're right on here in India. Only we get to see it Wednesday nights instead of Tuesday because of the time difference. Don't want the folks in India to see it before the Americans now, do they!

I believe one team used Alitalia and another Olympic (the team that's leading found an Olympic flight landing in the wee hours of the a.m.

Does Aeroflot not have a flight from St. Petersburg to Cairo?

My GF laughs at me because I get so excited when they have to plan air travel.

Almost like football season, I yell at the screen telling them what to do.

Why Kate, You're not wearing a bustle. How lewd.

Did I not see a stock landing shot of a UA 757 in last night's episode?

Great show, BTW. The last two episodes have been among the best. Gotta plan a trip to see the Pyramids.

Hi there!!

I'm in Munich at the moment, and missed the episode when they were in Russia. Who got eliminated?

Jasepl is absolutely right! Every wednesday night at 9pm, on AXN, for me in Delhi!

Last week in St. Petersburg the older internet-dating couple (Bob and Joyce, I think) got shown the door.

This week no one was eliminated! The bowling moms were the last ones at the "pit stop" and they were allowed to stay. However all their money was taken away, so next week they'll have to get places without money!!! The host said this was a new "twist" to the show! ouch!

The Alitalia plane was a A321. And Tom, I too did catch a glimpse of a UA 757 last night...I forget the context, but I do remember that.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there'll be no airline travel this week (it looks like they go to another place in Egypt).

The absolute best gem this eposide had to be from one of the twins! Kami or Karli - I forget which - asking the other one: "What does a satchel look like!"
