SUBJECT: Tech Support Request-WIFE 1.0 --

Thu Aug 19, 2004 5:53 am

A little laughter for everyone having a hard day ........

Dear Sir:
Last year I upgraded Girlfriend 1 .0 to Wife 1 .0 and noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. No mention of this phenomenon was included in the product brochure. In addition, Wife 1 .0 installs itself into all other programs and launches during system initialization where it monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Pokernight 10.3 and Beerbash
2.5 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can not seem to purge Wife 1 .0 from my system. I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 1 .0 but un-install does not work on this program. Can you help me?
Jonathan Powell

Dear Mr. Powell:
This is a very common problem men complain about but is mostly due to a primary misconception. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 1 .0 to Wife 1 .0 with the idea that Wife 1 .0 is merely a “UTILITIES & ENTERTAINMENT” program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and designed by its creator to run everything.
It is impossible to un-install, delete, or purge the program from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 1 .0 because Wife 1 .0 is not designed to do this. Some have tried to install Girlfriend 2.0 or Wife 2.0 but end up with more problems than original system. Look in your manual under Warnings: Alimony I Child Support.
I recommend you keep Wife 1 .0 and just deal with the situation. Having Wife 1 .0 installed myself, I might also suggest you read the entire section regarding General Protection Faults(GPF5). You must assume all responsibility for faults and problems that might occur. The best course
of action will be to push apologize button then reset button as soon as lock-up occurs. System will run smooth as long as you take the blame for
all GPFs. Wife 1 .0 is a great program but is very high maintenance.

Outstanding, and right on the money - especially the respect rating part.  Big thumbs up

HELP!! My wife1.0 program has attained self-awareness and is upgrading herself to wife 10.3 and has discovered how to coerce me into performing support and maintenance functions around the computer support facility. None of the commercially available disk cleanup systems are effective, I need help!

Welcome to A.Net, Liz, you will find every type of person here with at least one thing in common, all airplane geeks.

Good Morning Everyone,

Another day of cloudy weather in NY lolol ....

Before I start my longgggg day at the office, I had to answer Schoenorama, Wellhung, and DIO21.

Here it goes:
Schoenorama -- LMAO ..... Yes, Wellhung does pick screen name "winners" lolol (only kidding, Schoenorama!!!) By the way, what part of Spain?? I was your neighbor at one point. Yeap, I was born in Portugal.

Wellhung --- You are truly too much !!

DIO21 -- Airplane geeks are fine with me. I love to fly and hopefully, one day, when I find the courage, I will get my pilot licenses. I am not know much about airplanes but I am willing to listen and learn.

Well, boys, work is calling my name lol ...Have a wonderful day and I have another joke to send you all later on .....

Be well and be happy!
Get over it ! lol

Liz,

Wellhung called it dead on. You've made 7 post, 4 on this thread alone and you've got a 13 year old and a "21 year old airforce pilot" respecting you. The siren call of the female on A.net is amazing.

I'd like to know what exactly these two guys think you have said that is worthy of their respect.

If they want to impress her by putting her on their respected users list just let them. They should also get the chance to score once ind a while  Big grin

Whole thing about the A.net ladies phenomenon never ceases to amaze me... I am a woman, but nobody's ever hit on me here (not seriously at least)... Must be because I post like a guy and speak my mind...

Anyway, welcome aboard, Elizabethe!
Up, up and away!

Thanks, Redngold.......

The only reason the boys are somewhat speaking to me is due to my screen name, I have no sense of creativity and decided to actually use my real name as a screen name. Besides, how many Elizabeth's are spelled "Elisabete??" lol

With respects to speaking your mind, that is wonderful ...I do the same ..if these boys see our "speaking our minds" as a turn of --well, they need to "get over it" lolol ......

Liz,

I would imagine that my rate is too high for you, but you never know. What does the position pay? Benefits?

Not even close to Portugal. I live in (the province of) Alicante, on the Mediterranean.

Bem-vindo, Liz!

Amazing how a thread about a pretty good joke can so quickly turn into something else.

E. Learning about airplanes is possible here if you are willing to get past some of the silliness. As far as learning to fly, try going to your local airfield and taking one of Cessna's $49 trial flights. They let you take off and fly the airplane after and hour of groundschool. It will give you an idea of whether you are truly interested with a real picture of what to expect. Ian

Elisabete,

Where do you come from in Portugal? As a child I used to live in Leiria for a while (something between 6 months and one year, but I can´t really remember anymore exactly).
