Green Bay Packers Tickets

Fri Sep 17, 2004 7:00 pm

I'm a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan but I have always wanted to see a game at Lambeau Field. I hear Packers tickets are the hardest to get in the NFL. I am looking at going to a game for 2005, does anyone have any advice on what the best way to get tickets is?

Thanks!

Unless you know someone, good luck! Their is always ebay but be ready to drop some "BLING". It is actually legal to scalp Packer tickets at Lambeau, best bet is to show up on game day, the closer it gets to kick off the cheaper the tickets get. If all else fails you can watch the game across the street at the world famous "The Bar". Good Luck!

How so? Last I heard, the wait was 30+ years for tickets, unless you live in Brown County. Then you have a slim chance for the nose bleed seats in the loto sytem they've got.

There is some strange Marxist-quasi-communism in the community surrounding Laubeau field. If you have tickets and cannot go to the game, there is a very strong etiquette governing who you should give away or sell tickets to. As most in the stands are season ticket holders, you had better be a card-carrying packer fan when you show up for the game, and those in the surrounding seats ask you for your story and why you're there instead of so-and-so.

If you want a deal on GB-MN tickets in the Dome, let me know, and I can hook you up this season!

I'm going to the Dallas-GB game on 10/24!  Wink/being sarcastic And the Houston game here on 11/24.

Delta- I'd check eBay, the GB newspaper (), and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel as well ().

You'll be able to find tickets without a problem, it's just a matter of how much you're willing to pay.

You could just go and try to scalp as well. The gameday experience alone is worth the trip, even for a Cowboys fan.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

FYI- I was put on the season ticket list the day I was born. I'm now under 1000 to go after the Lambeau Field expansion and renovation. It's taken me almost 32 years.

That is truly amazing!

What's even more amazing is that there are 60,000 or so people BEHIND me on the list! I got lucky in relative terms given that when I was born, the Packers sucked, hehe...

And the sickeningly staggering thing about it is that with tens of thousands on the list, you know how many they turned over last year? 6. Six freaking tickets!  Wow!

And given that people can in fact will them to their children, they are a precious commodity indeed. I'd love to be a season ticket holder, but to be honest, it would be very difficult to swing given my geography. And I really don't care for those who simply sell them annually for an income source (those people exist sadly).

I'm most proud of my stock certificate in my den. I'm one of the owners of the Green Bay Packers.  Smokin cool

That really is impressive how you have been waiting 32 years and still haven't gotten them yet! To give an idea of how other cities turn around quicker, here in Chicago my uncle got on the bears waiting list maybe 6 years ago and he was around number 25,000 I think and only had to wait 4 years! I guess the turnaround is just higher, even though people here also pass down tickets through the family (my family has had our tickets since when the bears played in wrigley field). Part of it may be that here if people can't afford them they may give them up, while up in GB it seems that people would rather sell their house than give up tickets  Wow!
Even though it would be venturing deep into enemy territory, someday I'll make the trekk up to Lambeau for a bears-packers game just to sample the experience...maybe after Favre's gone so we have a chance  Big thumbs up

I've heard that season tickets for the Packers are so desired, that some people actually inherit them.

I remember hearing how at one point when the Redskins were still playing @ RFK, that they had a 10+ year waiting list for season tickets that got cut down considerably when they moved to FedEx Field (formerly Jack Kent Cooke Stadium).

The Falcons currently have around 10,000 on the waiting for season tickets; if the Falcons have a bad season or two, they may not have a waiting list at all. When they first moved into the Georgia Dome in the early 1990s, they had a several year waiting list before the first season there (my mom and stepdad were lucky enough to get season tickets that first year), and as the novelty of the Dome wore off (and the Falcons began to suck), the waiting list disappeared until two things happened, Mike Vick and a new owner. Arthur Blank pulled a nice trick in attracting new season ticket holders by offering $100 season ticket packages (2 preseason, 8 regular season) and sold those out in no time at all. The Falcons may have had the highest % ticket raise this season, but the prices are still among the lowest in the NFL.

My dad gets them from his company (Appleton Papers) to give to future clients, kinda to make a good impression. We never use them for that reason though, usually we just use them and have a little fun...(don't tell anyone)  Big thumbs up
