Dell XPS Or Dimension8400

Tue Sep 21, 2004 7:39 pm

Hi all,
Just a quick question? I want to get a new PC and as I already have a DELL and am completely satisfied with it I'm thinking of going for them again. The problem is that when I go to their website and spec up both their new XPS and their Dimension 8400 the 8400 comes in at nearly EUR 1000 in the difference. Is the XPS really worth the extra money? I know it's a specialist games machine but I've been using a 4200 for two years and all I do is play games and I never had a problem. Any advice would be welcome.

And no-body mention Mac please as I don't like them.

I just got a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo T and I am more than satisfied with it. It is a really good gaming computer and you also have a possibility of hooking up two monitors to it if you with. You can also hook up a coaxial cable to it and watch tv.

Here are the specs:
Fujitsu Siemens P4 530 Scaleo T
-Processor: Intel P4 530 HT Grantsdale
-Ram: 1024MB/400Mhz(2x512)
-Harddrive: 200Gb/7200 rpm
-Burner: DVD RW R Dual Layer
-Graphics: VGA X600Pro-4 PCIe 256MB DDR
-56k Modem, LAN card, WLAN B&G
-Firewire, USB 2.0, TV-tuner with remote
-Windows XP Pro

All for 1500 €.
