When Bush Is Re-elected...

Thu Sep 23, 2004 9:10 am

It's time to make some predictions!

Upon GW's election:

(1) Which A.net forum regular will have the biggest meltdown?

(2) Which state will fall victim to a vast left-wing conspiracy attempt to discredit that state's vote?

(3) True or false: Upon defeat, John Kerry will go into hiding, grow a beard and gain 50 lbs?

(4) While attending Bush's first State of the Union address of the next term, specifically which shade of red will Ted Kennedy face turn and (bonus) how many times will he shake his head from side-to-side on camera?

Good thread! I'll take a stab.

1- Dc10Guy probably....or Rsmith- expect his number of posts to go WAY up.

2- Hopefully not Florida II....maybe West Virginia or another battleground?

3- That, or he may choke on a bottle top from his stupid Heinz Ketchup (which I've stopped buying, btw)

4- Magenta actually...and he may need to see a chiropracter to fix the broken vertebrae he'll get from rapid "head banging"

(1) Which A.net forum regular will have the biggest meltdown?

A shorter and easier to compile list would be of the members who don't have a meltdown.

2- Hopefully not Florida II....maybe West Virginia or another battleground?

definitely a strong possibility unfortunately. I think that PA will be the one to watch, especially if USAir bites the dust before the election. Look to see a surprise that no one saw coming, such as CA going for Bush, or Texas going for Kerry.

3- That, or he may choke on a bottle top from his stupid Heinz Ketchup (which I've stopped buying, btw)

Not a chance. He'll use the tried and true Democrat method: stonewall and cast as many stones as you can to divert attention away from your own shortcomings. If he [Kerry] wins, the people have spoken. If Bush wins, the election was clearly rigged and therefore stolen.

4- Magenta actually...and he may need to see a chiropracter to fix the broken vertebrae he'll get from rapid "head banging"

More likely the bone surgeon, as a result of every single bone in his hands and fingers being broken as a result of punching about 50 walls.

When Bush Is Re-elected...?

Well, last I checked it's not close to Nov 2nd yet, and it's still a tight race. Hell, we haven't even had the debates yet. Shows you the arrogance and disrespect of the RWAK's on here...But hey...Awesome...Please...be overconfident.

IF Bush is reelected?

I don't think any of the above will happen. But remember, whatever does happen, YOU wanted it, YOU asked for it.

Bush will get to take the blame for the Iraq mess, and when he continues to send this country down the spiral, you wont have anyone to blame but yourselves.

Enjoy!

Upon GW's election:

(1) Which A.net forum regular will have the biggest meltdown?

Everyone except myself and the small conservative minority. The worst will probably be Zak, dc10guy, Qb001, Garnetpalmetto, QIguy24, Airplay, dtwclipper, BN747, Randy, Superfly, and Alpha1 or whatever name he goes by.

(2) Which state will fall victim to a vast left-wing conspiracy attempt to discredit that state's vote?

If the election is close, any and every state they can try it in. If it is a Bush blowout, then they'll just fall back and claim that Bush stole it by disenfranchising blacks.

(3) True or false: Upon defeat, John Kerry will go into hiding, grow a beard and gain 50 lbs?

Al Gore 2.0?

(4) While attending Bush's first State of the Union address of the next term, specifically which shade of red will Ted Kennedy face turn and (bonus) how many times will he shake his head from side-to-side on camera?

He'll probably be too drunk to attend or he'll fall asleep like he did last year.

You know what's funny about all this? If Kerry wins, I won't be in an extremely celebratory mood either. I'm not overly impressed with his platform or his apparent ability to lead. I do however feel the world will be a better (and safer) place if Bush is defeated.

Airplay,

I know I have not agreed with you on other subjects in the past, but I can whole-heartedly say that I cannot agree with you more!  Smile You are totally, completely 100% correct! Thank god other people are starting to see that neither candidate is that great. Even though Kerry isn't necessarily the best candidate he is still alot better than Bush.  Big thumbs up

Well...for one thing, he'd have to resign his senate seat, which he still holds until 2006 or 2008, I believe. That won't happen, with a GOP governor in Boston. Kerry isn't going to stand by and watch Bill Weld or even Mitt Romney win his seat.

Thank god other people are starting to see that neither candidate is that great.

When the movie Alien vs Predator came out, the advertisement stated:

No matter who wins, we lose.

Immediately, I thought about the election after hearing that. It is a really sad state of affairs when we cannot find a candidate better than these two people. It would be interesting to see what would happen in "none of the above" was included on every ballot in every state. It might pull in more votes than Perot did when he ran with Bush Sr. and Clinton.

Don't even JOKE about that ! Some things are just not funny.

Here's a couple of additional questions.

5. Which foreign leader will be first over to kiss butt ?

(My bet is it WON'T be Tony Blair - the man has a general election he'd like to win)

6. Which foreign leader won't turn up at all ?

(I think we all know the answer to THAT one  Laugh out loud )

Acc. to this week´s Spiegel magazine, Holbrooke, ex US ambassador in Germany under Clinton (and considered a likely candidate for secretary of state under Kerry), told Schröder that the first thing Kerry intends to do after winning the election, is to ask Schröder and Chirac to visit him in the White House. Then Kerry will ask Germany and France for military assistance, e.g. troops, to help to clean up the situation in Iraq. This might bring Schröder into difficulties at home, on one hand he can´t refuse Kerry, on the other, how to explain to the German public that German soldiers suddenly should be sent to Iraq, where he always said that he wouldn´t send anybody.

That would be "helpful" exclusively in domestic US politics. It would do absolutely nothing for a resolution of the iraqi mess. You´d need a realistic and well-coordinated involvement of the UN and especially of its arab members to make any progress.

Besides that, stabilizing Afghanistan is at least as important. And we haven´t got enough troops for that, already!

Just a note on if Kerry were to resign...the Massachusetts legislature (which is where all the power lies in that state; about 75% of the House is Democratic and 80% of the Senate is Democratic) has the power to make any bill they want into law, since they can easily override any veto. A few months ago, they pushed through a law that makes it so the governor can't name a successor to an open Senate seat; the legislature instead will call for a special election. Basically, it's to ensure a Democrat keeps the Massachusetts seat.

Typical Boston politics...it's a good thing I don't live there anymore.

Yeah, Zak wants W to win under the conventional wisdom that it would make Hitlery a shoo-in in 2008.

(1) Which A.net forum regular will have the biggest meltdown?

I don't knowm but cripes, will THAT be fun to watch if it happens.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

(2) Which state will fall victim to a vast left-wing conspiracy attempt to discredit that state's vote?

It won't be ONE state, it will be the entire election. Of course, the liberals will disregard the vote bribe stories, the incidents of military absentees being ignored, etc. I bet CBS doesn't call Florida early though, hehe...

If I have to say one state, I'll throw Minnesota out there. Shades of Walter Mondale, if you will.

(3) True or false: Upon defeat, John Kerry will go into hiding, grow a beard and gain 50 lbs?

That's not Lurch's style. He'll retreat to any one of his vacation homes, miss all of his Senate votes, maybe go overseas.

(4) While attending Bush's first State of the Union address of the next term, specifically which shade of red will Ted Kennedy face turn and (bonus) how many times will he shake his head from side-to-side on camera?

He won't be there....he'll be passed out cold probably.  Wink/being sarcastic

A perfect example of the typical liberal. Unable to accept a joke and hateful of anyone who disagrees with him. Way to gain respect for your party, mate!

Just like all my liberal friends. They always tell me jokes about Bush and I usually laugh (some are pretty funny), but as soon as I either try to defend him or make a joke about Kerry, they wall themselves in, put on a scowl and won't talk for 2 days.

You hate the people. Again, think about that.

And yet CONSERVATIVES are the ones who are chided for being "hateful" time and again?  Nuts

EA CO AS- You just nailed the ultimate hypocrisy of the left.

They're the ones who continually preach, pontificate and scream angrily about our need for tolerance and diversity, when it is in fact they who are the most INtolerant of all.

And they can't separate the intellectual idea from the person, even though they claim to be the enlightened intellectuals.

And in perhaps the biggest hypocrisy (and chuckle) in this thread was FLYYUL's retort saying we lack the "self-objectivity" because we don't agree with Michael Moore. Moore. Objective. BWAHAHAAAA!  Wink/being sarcastic

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I love you liberal whackjobs. We NEED your presence as a benchmark for how kookified your dying misplaced emotive ideals are....

Its going to be a funny night on a.net on Nov. 2 when George W. Bush wins re-election. Its going to be great to watch people like Falcon84 melt down, all the Euros calling Americans "dumb," and seeing DC10guy post his socialist garbage. As for the biggest meltdown, I'm gonna go with RSmith or DC10guy. Every state in which Kerry loses by a 'small' margin, you'll hear bitching from the liberals on a.net about the poor, disefranchised minority voter for years to come. When John Kerry loses, I expect very little reaction aside from the Bush-bashing we have come accustomed to. As for his wife, however, she'll explode and say something really stupid (from Teresa Heinz Kerry...no way!).

All I know is that on Nov. 2nd, I will be adding plenty of fuel to the fire.  Smile

Atleast there are plenty of low-wage jobs in Mexico! They might even have a middle class there to be stuck in! Or I could go to India and do tech support for minimum wage! Land of opportunities my ass.

Its going to be great to watch people like Falcon84 melt down..

Keep flattering yourself, Jcs17, if you really believe I'll be in meltdown. If you've read anything I've typed, I do expect, right now, that Bush will win re-election, in a close call. Although if Bush keeps hiding his head in the sand over Iraq, he could still lose.

Want to know what will really be fun, Jcs17? What will be fun is watching all the conservatives on this board try to defend this guy, as the economy gets worse, not better; as more good jobs leave our shores; as healthcare continues to skyrocket; as American schools reach the mess that they are in Texas; as pollution in the U.S. reaches the levels they are in Texas; as Iraq continues to fall apart while this man buries his head in the sand.

That will be fun-nailing him, and his hangers-on, who don't have the mental capacity to be critical when it's necessary because they're too busy kissing rear end over ideology.

It will be fun, come '06 and '08, when the country is so messed up that it has no clue where it's going, seeing the GOP scramble to defend an inept record under George Bush, and reading the excuses people like you will put on this forum in a continuing desperate attempt to try to convince the world how great George W. Bush is.

So, you can wait for my meltdown, because it isn't going to happen. I know guys like you will be gloating on here, and that just makes you look like fools, nothing else. But the next 4 years, the entire GOP is as fair game as a duck in the midst of a bunch of hunters. And I don't think you'll get any quarter from the Democratic Party, nor from people like me, who, unlike you, are smart enough to see through the facade that is George W. Bush.

I man not like Jcs17, or B757300 or Captoveur and their views. But at least they put out views, and try to engage on a subject. You don't. You never say anything. Maybe it's because you have nothing of import to say.

So, until you do, here's ignoring you.

"Did working on the ramp for Frontier in the sun fry your brains?"

What medication are you taking Brian? I have never worked for Frontier, or any other airline for that matter. Why would I want to work on the ramp anyway? Have you? That might explain it. And thanks for chiming in, I know you will be pissed when Bush gets the keys to the White house AGAIN. LOL  Big grin

Yes you did, you wont admit it cause it destroys your little insult to all us airline employees about cleaning lavs. Rumor has it you took a shower in it while removing the hose, now you're mad at the world cause you aren't bright enough to stay employed by an LCC.

And thanks for chiming in, I know you will be pissed when Bush gets the keys to the White house AGAIN. LOL

Um, if you bothered to read the post, you would have seen my thoughts on the subject.  Insane

The conspiracy theorists are saying that Kerry is throwing the election to Bush.

I've learned one thing since you showed up here: you have nothing, absolutely nothing of value to say, on any subject you try to participate.

That's very interesting coming from you Alpha 1.

Long ago you joined the bandwagon of hardcore left members on this website who do NOTHING but bitch about George W. Bush. All we see from you is the same shit over and over and over and over again, and you complain about JeffM doing the same thing.

Even if you're right, at least he is not near as goddamn annoying as you and other crybabies on this website are.

You are forgetting that Alpha backs his posts up with actual hardcore facts and cites his sources. Something very few republicans do nowadays.

You're right, he's no where near Falcon.

On the scale of annoyance, Jeff is waaaaaaaay worse!  Big grin Like, outside the solar system worse.
