Just got home safely from AMS
. My flight back to Leeds/Bradford was delayed by 40 minutes but I don't care as I've had a FANTASTIC WEEKEND!
It was so great to see you guys again!! Many of you feel like old friends by now!
Firstly I'd like to say a big 'thank you' for the terrific Dutch hospitality we received, you guys were great!
A special mention goes to Sander for organising a truly terrific Meet, you did everyone proud!
I'd also like to personally thank Sander, Erwin and Mike for driving me around the various vantage points around the airport, without you we would have all been lost!
And onto the rest of you rabble, it was so great to see you guys again!!
Many of you feel like old friends now! So many new faces too, it was great getting to know those of you I hadn't met before, hopefully the first of many times we will meet up.
Special mention I feel should also go to An-225 and JoseMex who rearranged their European vacation plans in order to join us before they departed back to USA and Mexico respectively.
As the for aircraft, I really don't know what to say, except it was awesome!
Also, I think many of us found that we fell in love this weekend................with the MD
-11's! Those KLM and Martinair birds made many A.Netter's hearts flutter over the weekend!!
(Note: World of Wings shop at AMS
has now sold out of its PPC Holland KLM MD
-11 replica kits thanks to A.Netters!).
I can't believe I'm not going to see you guys for a while now, but I suppose part of what keeps it special is that we can only meet now and again. Take care everyone and I expect to see you all again at the next Meet.
Like a fine wine, one gets better with age.
