Hey, I like the site.
The layout is good as you can nearly always get back to the homepage using the 'Home' link at the bottom. I like the way you used frames to set out the pages but even more so that you actually bothered making another site that uses tables, very thoughtful!
The design is nice too. The black, grey and whites go nice together and you have your titles at the top in a size and font that stands out to the rest of the page. Looks good, as do your smaller titles.
You have some sort of roll over effect for the links as well which isn't too fancy but it's a nice user friendly addition to the site.
A few small things that could do with changing are that on the portfolio home page, the images are a little bit too large. I know you want to keep the quality there but in total all the images add up to 0.5mb (514kb) which isn't great for people with dial-up connections. I even found it a bit slow to load and I have a from of broadband. Try making the total page size be around 100kb, that's the mean size.
Another minor detail is that when you view your large photo's in the portfolio section, say in the aviation category, they don't actually stay in a web page anymore thus they loose any link back to the site unless you hit 'back' in the browser. This is fine I guess but what you could do is either target the photos to open in a new window, resized slightly larger than the actual photo and then insert a close button. This would also give you room for some type of caption.
Another way would be you could keep the photos in the same window as now but place them in a slideshow with html links, such as the one Dreamweaver can make. It makes it a bit easier to navigate about.
Oh and I would also make the 'large' version of the photo's bigger in size. They look like great photos but are only fairly small. Show them off like they deserve to be!
I've kind of yacked on a bit here but you did ask for it, literally!
I'm not really that great at web design myself, I know what you are supposed to do, I'm just too lazy to do it hence why my site is in disarray!
Good job on the meta tags and the site in general.
