Now For Something Completely Different

ok..enough with the political threads for a minute.

What would you rather see....a Monty Python Reunion movie or Mel Brooks make another couple of movies?

I would like to see both.

The last time Monty Python was together that I saw was at the Vail Comedy Festival, when John Cleese showed up late carrying a large urn onstage, and tripped over Michael Palins feet dropping the urn and having ashes spread all over Gilliams and the others laps. He said while walking onstage just prior to tripping "sorry I'm late, I had to pick up Graham!!" Too funny, and completely in character.
Is my Pan Am ticket to the moon still good?

A true Python Reunion is not possible, because without Graham Chapman, it's not Monty Python. While Cleese and Idle could play the oddballs, it was Chapman's straight-laced characters that really stood out. Who else could have played King Arthur or Brian?

A few more Mel Brooks movies are in the works, including a remake of The Producers, and a planned Spaceballs sequel (Although what will they do about Barf, since John Candy's been dead for 10 years now?) And is planning on bringing a musical version of Young Frankenstein to Broadway next year.

A buddy of mine from work mentioned that there will be a show starting in December, in Chicago, based on Python stuff called "Spam-alot" (spelling may be off). I think one of the Python members is involved, and David Hyde Pierce (Fraser) is in it as well.
