Thanks ZKSUJ. Up intill now I'm a good frequent customer of Mana Coach Services, so it will be a very nice change to be able to drive to college and not have to rely on the buses.

Yes, congratulations 777ER on your first car. My first car is a 2003 Mini Cooper S. My dad bought it for me for my 17th birthday last year, and as well as a gift for getting my 'restricted pilot's licence' or GFPT. It's a great car, fun to drive, and very snappy. But insurance-wise, it's a hell. I'm paying around AUD4000 p/a, -which my parents pay for-, but still, it's not worth-it.

Anyway, the Nissan Sunny is a fun car to drive! So, enjoy the most out of it, before you decide to have another car  Smile

AK

Mine was a Peugeot 106 Independance, with no power steering, so it was like driving a tank, but I changed it to a Seat Ibiza 2 months ago, so its a lot better.

My first was a 1953 Ford 2dr, bought in 1958. Of course, I just HAD to spin the bearings so I could replace the flathead with a 57 Cadillac overhead V-8. It was a pretty easy swap, but I never did get the clutch slave cylinder to operate properly. And, to be honest, it was a couple of years before I gained the maturity to operate ANY car properly  Smile

2001 Ford Taurus SES....Toreador Red, with the 24 Valve Duratech Engine. My pride and joy...just washed it up yesterday. Got a fantastic deal on it because it was a rental...some jerk that had rented it used chewing tobacco, and must have put his spittoon right in the center of the console. Got tobacco juice all over everything...In all of the a/c ducts, stuck between the buttons on the radio, all the creases and crevices were plastered with dried, slimey tobacco juice. That may be why we got such a good deal on it...it was filthy, but I cleaned it up and now it's beautiful. Still, everytime I clean it I find some more of it somewhere...
But I still love it.  Love

My first car was a 1970 Chevy Impala with a 327 small block and a two speed power-glide transmission. I paid $80 for it in 1983 (plus $30 for a keg of beer for the friend who brokered the deal) and it lasted exactly three and a half months prior to the tranny crapping out. Great car though.

I got my first car when I was 17 back in 1990.
It was a 1974 Ford Pinto. It was lime green with plaid green & yellow seats.
It had the gutless 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine and it ran on regular leaded gasoline.
Leaded gas was going for 88 cents a gallon at that time.

I bought it offa girl at school for $275.00. The other car I was considering was a 1973 VW bug. I passed on the Bug because the seller wanted $25.00 more than the Pinto. Plus my buy-American bias played a factor.

Mine wasn't yellow, but this is pretty close. Bought it for $350 and made it a project car before it became painfully obvious that it wasn't going to tolerate a two-hour daily commute. I still haven't forgiven myself for selling it, though.

Mine was a 1995 Opel Astra, which I bought in 2001 with already 115,000 km. I separated myself from it a few months ago (190,000 km and a few bumps) and bought myself a 2001 Renault Megane with much less milleage !

Shortly after receiving my driver's license in 1982, I purchased my first car:

A 1969 Ford LTD 'Brougham' 4-door sedan, 302 V8 for $300. I drove it during the remainder of my high school years (2 1/2 years).

1966 Lincoln Coupe. Bougth for $650 in the summer of 1977. Began falling apart on the drive home from the dealership, and lasted about 4 months before total meltdown. My dad gave me another car, and then had this fixed. he hit the back of a truck at a traffic light and car was junked.

1971 Ford Maverick. Got into two accidents (neither my fault, honestly) in the first three months I had it. My father made me go down to the junkyard and get replacement body parts, paint it and put it back together (he probably should have booted me in the a** also).

1961 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan. 348 Turbo Thrust engine, Turboglide tranny (yes, I said TurboGlide, look it up), AM radio with "Straight Line Tuning" (meaning, it had a knob and you turned the knob to tune the radio, and the radio dial was... straight), and Four Seasons factory air conditioning. What a hoot, got it for $300.00 in 1975, 37,000 miles, wish I had it now!

My first car was a Datsun 180B fitted with the engine from a 200B. What a mighty beast that was!. I now drive a 1988 Holden Astra (N13 Nissan Pulsar) with about 320,000kms on the clock... being a pizza delivery boy sure helped rack up the kilometers on that thing, thank god those days are over.

My 1st car was a VW Golf GTI from 1983 in a two tone paint livery. It was silver/black with ATS 7X15" wheels on it and back in 1987 it was a very nice sporty car. I crashed it only
2 month after getting it!!! It happened on the motorway, it was a total loss :-( and wonder by wonder I was luckly not
injured. I learned my lesson that day  Wink/being sarcastic

The first car that I BOUGHT, not mommy or daddy, is my current car. A 2002 Mazda 626.

But the first car that I got from my folks was our 1984 Dodge 600ES when I was a senior in high school. The damn thing was ugly as hell and became a project car for my dad. As a result it spent the better part of my senior year cover in primer, bondo, and without a backseat.

I like the cream-puff BMW 320i of Av8RDAL shown above!

Mine was a dijon mustard-yellow 1972 Ford Maverick. It had the "Luxury Decor Option," with white vinyl roof and side moldings, "cut-pile" carpeting, reclining bucket seats in "glove-soft" vinyl, and hubcaps in dijon to match the body. it also had a 302 V8. The Maverick was one of the best cars Ford ever made.
