When you say digital, do you mean Optical? or RCA (Yellow and White), or Coaxial, or......? Chances are in the case of Coaxial and Optical you will need a higher quality, new audio reciever to use those. In the case of RCA jacks, it shouldn't be a problem. The best quality will come from an optical cable. Simply stunning, I have a 5 channel stereo and an run it on an optical cable....it's amazing. Second best will be coaxial, which is more common than optical and should not be confused with "Coax" video cables. And just out of personal preference, I think you should go get a Satellite Dish, they are far better than digital cable, with better sound, and all the channels are digital picture & sound, compared to the 19 digital channels "Digital Cable" offers.
In addition, the onscreen guide doesn't Lag.
