Ahh, Texas Women

Mon Oct 18, 2004 12:39 am

I'm going up on Thursday to meet one near DFW. I must say Texas females have quite a way with words...enough reason to warrant an 8 hour drive to pay a visit.

So therefore, a couple of random questions here:

1) Anyone stayed in a Baymont Inn before? Decent places?

2) Any other reccomended toppings besides the usual chocolate syrup and whipped cream? And no, I'm not talking about an ice cream sundae here.

3) Shaved or not? What are the pro's and con's of each?

I can help you with Baymonts as I have stayed at them before though for true business reasons, not bad similar to say a Fairfield Inn, you can get AA FQTV miles though if paying a non industry rate.

Turning over new leaves (in a manner of speaking) are we, Steve?

#1) can't say, never stayed at one.

#2) how about champagne?

#3) shaved means no hairs to have to pick out of your teeth.

Well I know what shaved means, but you know, not sure what's the better way to go. I guess I have my answer. It's not so much turning over a new leaf as it is just tired of the same old routine. Big grin Champagne...now that's a good idea. Thanks man, much obliged.

Why aren't you taking WN, DL, or AA up there?

I can't get passes on AA or DL, and if I flew into Love Field I would have to rent a car. The place I'm going to is about fifteen miles from DFW International apparently. I figure it's a good time for a classic American road trip. Set the cruise control on 75 and crank up the R.E.M. Ahh, relaxing.

If you go Hwy 190 between Baton Rouge and Opelousas, watch for the local sheriff. My boss got busted near Krotz Springs a few years back.

MSY-DFW is a decent drive. We've done it many times for conferences, to see friends, or to go to Rangers/Stars games. It's easier since they finished I-49 through Alexandria.
