Florida's Newest Advance In Voting Technology

Thu Oct 21, 2004 7:28 pm

To avoid the problems that occured 4 years ago, Florida has developed modern voting machines to make it as easy as possible to vote for the right candidate.

Geez, we didn't have the German-are all-Nazi-insult recently, thanks for so much creativity. How long did it take you to come up with that.  Insane

Pretty hard IIRC - last time I checked, some govenor was refusing to accept voter registrations unless they were made with the correct type of paper (that weights a certain amount of grams).

Not to mention that Jeb Bush is still playing the same games that he did back in 2000: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041017/ap_on_el_pr/florida_felons_voting&cid=694&ncid=716

TechRep, lighten up, man. It was meant as a joke, and it's pretty damned funny. Another right-wing L who doesn't get it, and who's getting up tight because Bush is on the ropes.

Oh, and the Nazi's are on your side of the aisle-kind of like that lunatic family member no one wants to talk about, but everyone knows is there in the attic? Way to make youself look damn foolish.  Laugh out loud

CPH-R,

You know it's funny, the Democrats insist on bring up an issue that doesn't exist anymore. The state decided in July that they weren't going to use that Felon database. It wasn't an attempt to disenfranchise blacks but instead an attempt to cut down voter fraud.

And the joke isn't very funny because too many people believe that both Jeb Bush and the owner of Diebold would put their very lively hoods on the line to insure that Bush wins their states.

I have used the new electronic voting system, though I too wish there was a paper receipt that would be put for manual recounts, it's too late for the counties to order that option (it was an option that counties could order, most didn't). Overall the system is very easy to use, and prevents over voting which is a common problem in some races.
At worst, you screw up and die.
