Lets see what the Player pep rally has for us on Nov.2. Perhaps a vote?....."Would you play with a salary cap?" LOL...i doubt it, but who knows what the Union boss has in store.
There have been a few players out there voicing their opinion on what is going on. To summarize......they would play with a cap in place, just as long as they are playing. The union wages given to the players during the strike are not that good, and I mean for the young guys, not for players like Sundin or Thornton.
Contraction, I feel, will happen. There are 6 teams out there that have a crap market and will not survive, even if the strike ends tomorrow.
Here's a question.....
What do you people think of all the players going to Europe and playing? Are they keeping in shape and staying active, or are they "scabs" taking spots of guys trying to make a living?
What is the average salary of European hockey players? Anybody know?
