Nice! I love geography games.
I got 1428 for the USA (some difficulties with cities in the middle of the country) and 541  Smile/happy/getting dizzy for Germany. I really messed up with Hitzacken, had no idea where that was so just clicked right in the middle...

GKirk, how on earth did you manage to get 4060 in Germany? I mean, the USA is a big place but...  Wink/being sarcastic

OYRJA, that line tells you how far you are from the place you should have clicked on. The shorter the line, the better you clicked!

My results...

I really screwed up with Hitzacker in Germany and confused the geographical positions of Washington, DC with Baltimore's...

571 km for Germany:

803 km for the USA:

928 km for the USA
1352 km for Germany, but it's not fare to ask where places like Hitzacker are!!!

Also mind that the scale is different on the US and Germany maps, thus the same distance covered by your mouse translates to more kms on the US map!

I had not the smallest clue where Hitzacker is as well, I hadn't even heard about it. Lucky me at least clicked somewhere in the north, so I got 527 for Germany and exactly 1111 for the USA  Big grin

I looked Hitzacker up and it has a whopping 7000 inhabitants...

Don´t worry, OYRJA, I´m sure I wouldn´t do much better if you would present me a map of Denmark...

I used to have a geography game on my Commodore 64 (!) with this little helicopter, where you had to fly over Europe or the entire world towards the destinations given. You got points while the clock was ticking, and the places got smaller each higher level. I learned a lot about the world with that game.

Here´s a question to all: I lived in a village called Wolphaartsdijk for ten years. Where is it located?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

>>>Hey Daniel, we´d love to hear about your experiences in Hitzacker!

Ya right, like there are any experiences to make in that kind of village Big grin  Wink/being sarcastic

Seriously, though, Hitzacker became quite famous because of a nearby storage site for nuclear waste. There have been ferocious protests for decades - whenever another couple of containers are shipped there, the whole region plays civil war. So it wasn´t too unfair asking that question, Hitzacker goes through the (German) media once in a while  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

For USA I got 1163km total. Got 306km for Dallas (only been there once, besides who cares where Dallas is, its a transit point !)

For Germany I got 2380 km (!) - pretty poor ! But at least 3 of the places I'd never even heard of (I'm pretty sure they don't have airports either !).

Well, actually the population soars to about 5000-7500 during summer, when the Germans go there for holidays. They have loads of campings and a nice marina also.
Having said that, I prefer to stay here in Valencia though  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Actually, Levent, the population soars to a stunning 2,500-5,000, since the Dutch population of this regional center leaves town and can be found racing their approximately 12,500 campmobiles over Germn autobahns...that's 2,500 they drive themselves, and a further 4 mobiles per inhabitant, that run on remote control!

Andz - re Freiburg. My guess is they needed a German town (ANY German town) to link to Basel/Mulhouse so they could call it Euroairport (as opposed to FrancoSwissAirport, which sounds silly).

Kirkie - you still suck ! With that level of Geographic knowleged, you should have been GWB's Secretary of State. How do you get MCI 1400km away - did you even get the right state ?
