Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to vote. I waited for nearly an hour to vote, but felt that it is my Civic Duty to do so. So while my vote didn't count in my State election, it did nonetheless go towards who I wanted.
Thank you all to the people who showed that they still have Faith and re-elected the President, which is who I voted for-even though there are a lot of things I don't like about him.
I said in another topic just a few days ago that Kerry is a "two faced scumbag who can't make up his mind on anything."
While I still hold that opinion of him in terms of being a Presidential Candidate, he earned my respect as a person for bowing out with grace and dignity instead of drawing this out, only to go down in flames in defeat and ugly humiliation.
With the closing of this election, at last the issue of Bush's "legitimacy" can be laid to rest forever. At least for the next 4 years. Can anyone honestly tell me how Bush "stole" THIS election?
Unfortunately, even though this election-many of who said it was the most important of our lifetimes is behind us, it will not bring any closure to the deep issues that divide our nation. Look for the left to really be pissed now.
Well, for what it's worth, 2008 is up for grabs, and IMO, will almost certainly be a Democrat victory. I said before that keeping Cheny on the ticket is a mistake. This is 1) he is just as much of an asshole I said Kerry was and 2) no one will be groomed as a successor to Bush 4 years from now. Cheney will be too old and tired, if not dead to run for President. So it will be wide open.
Anyway, speaking of old and tired, I am feeling old and tired, what having been glued to the television until almost midnight last night only to have to get up at 0300 this morning for work.
So once again, thank you all for caring enough to vote. After all, the only thing worse than someone who is a polar opposite of you is someone who doesn't even give a damn to voice his/her opinions.
