You left wing nuts are really, really pathetic. Only Rednecks would vote for Bush...Iowa voted Bush, therefore, Iowans must be Rednecks. Except you forget, Iowa is what gave Kerry the momentum to win the nomination to begin with. In other words, Iowa voters spared the Democrats the embarassment of a Howard Dean candidacy, which would have given Bush a landslide, the likes of which haven't been seen since Ronald Reagan.
Iowa votes with liberal states most of the time, this year and 1984 being the anomolies. Iowa contains some of the most liberal communities in the country, one of which, Ames, attempts on every turn to imitate that cesspool California...even down to attempting to ban smoking in bars. Iowa has an evenly split legislature and Democrats hold ALL
statewide offices (Governor, Attorney General, etc.). Iowa continually elects the second most liberal senator (by some counts THE most liberal senator) in the U.S. Senate, Mr. Tom Harkin. Iowa voters, in polling, tend to lean towards the opinions of the "intellectual" states like New York. Iowa's Republican congressman side with Democrats more than the Republican party would like, and their Republican senator, Charles Grassley, is widely regarded as one of the most respectable and least partisan members of the U.S. Senate.
Iowa voters are also very independent...they don't tow the party line. They do vary from time to time, like this year. This independent thinking, I guess, makes them Rednecks. *cue eye roll*
