Emlyn Hughes Passes Away

Tue Nov 09, 2004 8:05 pm

Sad news of a great footballer and a great guy

A sad day. As a Scot I can say that he loved to wind us up and always played like a tiger against us. He was proud to be Captain of England. You cant say better than that.

Sad, but expected ever since he announced he was ill.

A fine player in a truly awful England team, it is sad for football that he was part of that generation.
She's as nervous as a very small nun at a penguin shoot.
