This website has a little more info to go with the pictures.

http://www.vertikal.net/en/stories.php?id=1190

It think its a fake, but a very good one! Few things that give it away are the lack of any Police/authorities and the man in blue at the very front who disappears in the fourth shot.

Great work though Big thumbs up

I think all pictures are real except the very last one. It is obviously a fake.

Looks like Scotland, isn't it ?
IIRC GKirk has a fresh truck driver's license, no connection here ?

Unless it was all on purpose for a movie, it is real, except for the last shot.

Faked. The harbour wall would have been ripped to shreds by a crane lorry dragging over it. So most are dubious.

Sorry mate, but unless the walls are made of Lego, they are there to stand, even much heavier lorries.

That is pretty funny. Fake or not, I'd be dammed if I was going to be the next guy to try to pull anything out of that waterway..  Laugh out loud

What reason do you have for saying the last one is fake?

I believe they are real - all of them. I've taken some advanced classes that deal with doctoring images and detecting doctored images while in college.

Supposing that these images are fake, the most difficult thing would be to emulate the water patterns and splashes. The only way to fool the experts in this case would be to emulate a splash using a 3D graphics program, as well as the water surface.

One of the best ways to check the authenticity is by checking to see if shadows and highlights match everywhere in the picture.

It's also good to look for the reflections in things. Sometimes a person will superimpose an object with the wrong reflections onto the original image.

In doctored photos you can look closely to see if the graininess, hue, saturation, contrast, sharpness blah blah blah all match up for each object in the photo.

I'd personally spend the money to do this in real life rather than to try to doctor the images.

All but the last are real. Notice in the last picture the guy walking away in a white shirt and bluejeans... he is in the 5th photograph in the same position. Also take note of the white Zodic boat and the cars on the pier.

Still pretty funny...

oops, the last one was not actually the last one. I looked at all of them before the last image loaded.

You're right, the last one is a fake. and a pathetic effort as well.

Anyone who claims the last one is real is nuts. It's clearly just the previous picture of the one truck in the water and the other one is tipped sideways. Apart from being obviously faked, it defies physics to have the 2nd truck in the position.

Oh by the way, compare picture #5 to the last one. The guy in the white shirt is in the exact same pose... as is everyone else.

You should get your money back for the photo class  Big thumbs up

I know! It is a fake.  Nuts

The REAL last image didn't show up before I closed the window. I later went back and saw it, and like I said before...it's a pathetic fake.

I am no expert. However to me they come across as looking...real. Aside from things being in a different position. What else is there that proves this? There was obviously some time in between photos (the last two) where "stuff" in the picture could have been moved. I bet 10-15 minutes went buy in between.

Like I said, I am no expert and not doubting. But to the un-trained eye. It looks real. Perhaps some obvious giveways could be explained.

I don't know if it is real or not, but it certainly is funny. The biggest truck would not have fallen over. a) it wasn't on a slope like the first truck, and b) it had horizontal stabilizers on each side.

What a coincidence. My dad was showing me this in an e-mail that he received today, however it ended after the first truck fell in.

I agree, all the pictures with the exception of the last, are real.

I thought it was quite odd that they would try to lift something so heavy out of the water, with a truck that didn't have outriggers.

Well don't forget that half a dosen vehicles dissapear and re-appear there. Like the Silver Merc which dissapears for a few then comes back, the original car on the low loader dissapears again in the last shot to name but a few.

Nope after looking at this closely.. There's no way its real... Look here's my case..

Look at the tween I created here
http://www.symsonicdesign.com/airliners/

look at pic one... thats the picture the fake is derived from... Now look at pic 2... That's the fake.. Now look at pic 3 ... and watch closely as the fake is faded in and out over the real... Now see how the edited picture is exactly the same as the real besides the edited portion, even the noise pixels that would have to change if it was really two different pictures, are exactly the same. So therefore I am 100% positive it is absolutely fake.
