Visions Of A Battlefield...

Wed Dec 15, 2004 6:15 pm

Still in the moving process... My living room, once warm and welcoming now looks like that.

It really looks like a battle is being fought in my place... A battle I seem to be loosing !!!

Now for the quizz. Everyone take a guess : how many cardboard boxes are the movers going to load in their truck tomorrow ?

Game closes tomorrow at 4 pm. Winner gets a flight in Kilo Fox or whatever aircraft I'll be flying by then !

Cheers,

707

Oh, and just to add... Some of the boxes here are not mine (got a roommate who is moving as well, obviously), the game is only about *my* boxes, and only the ones that go in the movers truck tomorrow.

Nice photoshop work there. 707, how were you able to disguise that Shat in your original photo?  Confused

You're packing only one shaft? What did you do with all your other shafts?

Translation : did I find a flat in Paris or shall I sleep under CDG airbridge ?

Well, yes, I do have a flat now, I will be signing in Saturday evening upon mly arrival in Paris, and I should settle in a few days after.

Okay, midnight update, and after a quick shower I'll be going to bed...

Here is what my living room now looks like :

What is in front of the couches will probably be trashed away, while most of the stuff on the other side will get in the movers truck.

You can still enter the guess the cardboard boxes count game. Current contestants and input are :

Springbok747 : 17/33
ANCFlyer : 30
Teahan : 36

Springbok, I accept your second submission, but I am now clarifying : only one submission per username !

Friday, 7.30 pm. (did really not have time to post till now)

I am sitting on the floor, the living room is all but empty, there is nothing left in my room...

Yesterday, the movers have put in their truck a total of
.
.
.

.
.
52 cardboard boxes.

Guys, have any of you been in a complete moving yet ?
Teahan with a call of 36 is the closest (and no cheating was involved... ). You have won a free flight.

30 boxes ONLY?

I had alone 30 big cardboard boxes full of books and another 3 of old vinyl records (damn heavy), plus I didn´t have a moving company, just my old Suzuki jeep, a trailer and myself (ok, for some big furniture I asked a colleague to give me a hand on one afternoon).
I moved from a 4th floor flat to 3rd floor one, all without a lift.
