Time To Use The Return Ticket From Iraq?

Fri Dec 24, 2004 8:51 pm

56 Percent in US Survey Say Iraq War Was a Mistake (ABC/Washington Post).

A mistake should be called a mistake.

So much USD spent on this war.

A lot could be done for that money in the US instead...

Like buying books for the $39 million that Bush cut on the federal spending on libraries, litteracy numbers for the US really dont look good. Out of 191 million adults in the US, 44 million cannot read a newspaper or fill out a job application. Another 50 million more cannot read or comprehend above the eighth grade level.

Maybe the money could have been put there instead? Who knows.

I think George W Bush is much smarter than we think but he has a lot of people around him that I do not trust.

George W. Bush may be smart but he isnt a public speaker and that is for sure....also I think these numbers are inaccurate...as people here watch the news and only here the bad things...actually most of them are happy that we are there

For all the left wing haters, please take note that George W Bush's IQ is higher than average.

Guys...don't believe everything you read about how stupid we are over here. Please remember that much is written about the US with a view to making us fit into whatever particular mold the writer and editor has decided we should occupy.

Yeah and just 2 months ago the polls told us that John Kerry was going to win the election. If 56% of the population thought the war was a mistake than Bush should have gone down in flames as bad as Carter and Mondale.

This is nothing but a poll taken (with the results already determined before the poll was even completed) in order to give the Washington Compost something to write about and bash the President over.

It was a mistake, even if the conservative nutjobs like B757300 still get a woody over it.

But mistake or not, we have to make the best of it, see it through, and make sure we NEVER make such a mistake again.

Where in the hell did you get those numbers? What is the source the article pulled this from? According to the U.N. the USA (and Canada FYI) has an illiteracy rate of around 1%.

Maybe Socialists have issues with math.

Actually, you serve as a prime example as to not comprehending what you've just read above the 8th grade level...

If 56% don't support it, and something like 12% are indifferent, then about 32% are for it, making your statement completely ignorant and inaccurate.

Saw it on CNN dude - try finding it, but even if that 12% was cut in half, that would mean only 38% are for it - and yet the indifference percentiles are usually at about 10% anyway.

Couldn't find it.
