What Is Your Favourate Car?

Thu Dec 30, 2004 2:25 pm

Hi, What is your favourate modern car? (supercar, 4X4, roadcar ect)...

My favourate car is the Aston Martin Vanquish or the Mclaren/Mercades SLR

I like the Mazda RX-8 myself. If I am going for speed, the Aston Marton Vanquish would be my pick.

Coupe/Convertible: Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG & Honda S2000. Both are absolutely gorgeous.

Minivan: Honda Odyssey. Honda reliability and never before seen minivan performance.

Sedan: Mercedes Benz E55 AMG. One word: beast.

SUV: Porsche Cayenne Turbo. With a 0-60 time of 5 flat, need I say more?

Now realistically, would I ever pay for these myself? No. They all cost more then they are worth, Odyssey & S2000 being exempt. No car in my opinion is worth more then 40k.

Now it depends how modern you are going!

My Favourite Car Point Blank is a VW Camper, with the Old Beetle close behind

If it was a new car, i'd have to say New Beetle :P

Heck, I would even settle for the standard Marauder with the 390.

I love German cars (which seems to be an everlasting characteristic of most Slovenians). My favorite car is Mercedes-Benz E - preferably E55AMG, but it's WAAAAY to expensive, so my mother only drives an E320. An I love most of those huge powerful SUVs. We own a VW Touareg, but I also wouldn't mind driving a Volvo XC90, Mercedes M, BMW X5 or a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Etc.

VW Touareg 5.0 V10 TDI

Range Rover 4.6 HSE

2000 Chevy Camaro SS with Hurst 6-speed and t-tops

Mercedes Benz 560 SEL (circa 1990)

the Mk II GTI, circa 1988...so sweet

nice, nice...is the camaro in reply 9 your actual one deltaguy?

i love the f-bodies, i really wanted to sell my 2000 VW Jetta Vr6 5-speed and then spend some more to buy a 2000 camaro ss 6-speed with t-tops like yours before they went out of production, but alas, didn't get around to it.

did get to drive one once, she was a 96 Z28...there is absolutely nothing like turning that thing on and peeling out in it on an upon flat road.

there is something unique about the feeling that not even something like an M5 can reproduce.

i am not experienced behind the wheels of too many cars and certainly not too many premium cars, but these are just my observations.

rock on!!!!

I must say... most cars on the market today, from Hyundai to Aston Marton do not impress me in terms of looks. I'm sure many of them perform excellently, though.

I am personally in love with my moms car- its a 2004 Infiniti G35X, and I've been driving it as often as I can since she got it a year ago. My dad is picking up a 2005 Saab 9-3 on Monday- we'll see how that compares. My own car is fun to drive if you like awkward combinations between trucks, cars, suvs and trains...haha (2003 Jeep Liberty)...

Random thing about Saab: the 9-5 has a reading light in the front overhead console that was definately put there to easy the oversupply of airplane reading lights! Check it out- its ugly as all hell, but kinda quirky..

I don't drive but -

1) the Caddillac 1959 line

2) the Chevy El Camino, esp. the Black Knight/Royal Knight package

I also like the Lamborghini Countach and the later 1950s Chevy Impala and Ford DeSoto.

As you can see, I'm a vintage type.

When I was a kid the Dodge Charger was always a cool looking car...

Today I like pretty much any of the upper end models from Europe (Audi's) & Japan (Infinity G35) and I'll bow to the new Cadillacs as well...

But this little fella is kinda cute too:

Okay, I´ll need 5 cars if I win the Jackpot this week:

Get around town: Smart or Lancia Ypsilon

Everyday car: Mercedes CLS 500 AMG

Sportscar: Ferrari F430, Bentley Continental GT or Aston Martin DB9

Just for fun, and to go to the highschool-class reunion: Rolls-Royce Phantom

For nostalgia: Lancia Gamma Coupe 1982 or Fiat 130 Coupe 1972

If I have to choose just one, I think a darkgreen Bentley Continental GT with tan or tobacco-coloured leather inside is the one. Enough power to beat the Porsches, small enough for every garage, enough space for traveling to Tuscany, decent enough not to be thrown into the show-off league.
