I got a link to the following site and I have to wonder if it's true.

It is.
The Israelis have highly specialized, well equipped and very efficient emergency teams, they are AFAIK always present and among the first to be deployed when disaster struck. (eg. Greece, Turkey)

It''s certainly true. Israel have always been very helpful during all kinds of disasters and are usually willing to do more than their fair share.

But it's unfair to say that Israel's aid goes unreported.

Had it not been for the almost unnoticeable

it would have been a good article.

Props to the Israelis for helping so fast and often. Even though this sounds highly cynical, all that practice they get/got at home seems to make them experts at SAR missions.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Not just Israelis but the wider Jewish community are responding. There are even EBay pages of donated items for Jewish relief agencies working on the disaster.

Cynical but also probably true. They are sadly not short of practice, but then again disaster relief needs trained people and Israel certainly can provide that essential body of people with the right experience.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find my own way there...
