After reading through the newsblip, I'm disappointed that they left out this little gem:
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) today announced 50 new grants totaling more than $31 million to help communities develop and put in place abstinence-only education programs for adolescents ages 12 through 18.
.. and at the same time, the justice department have issued its first ever medical guidelines for treating rape victims - and funny enough, these guidelines completely omits any mentioning of the morning-after pill. But hey, that's okay, because according to some Republicans, "they don't get pregnant." "(P)eople who are raped-- who are truly raped--the juices don't flow, the body functions don't work"
But hey, look at this:
A Spokane woman trying to divorce her estranged husband two years after he was jailed for beating her has been told by a judge she can’t get out of the marriage while she’s pregnant.
Looks like it's going to be a tough 4 years for girls & women across the good ol' US of A. Really in love with that boyfriend of yours? Sorry, gotta get married first, even if you divorce 3 years down the road! Not really in love with your husband & pregnant with another man? Sorry, gotta stick together for the child! Raped & beaten last night - and now you're pregnant? Tough luck - but enjoy the baby!
