If your hair is naturally curly it will probably remain curly except at the very ends.

You'll either need (counterintuitively) something hot, or gel, to straighten it. Gel will make it thick and slick. Something hot (like brushing it out under a hair dryer) will look more natural.

Do what one of our guys at work does, uses straighteners on his hair every morning. Easy way for straight hair, lol.

Take it easy with the Zinc. Too much will make your hair stop growing (and make your heart stop beating  Big grin )

This past summer the barbar used wax in my hair to accurately give me a mohawk, that was when I realised I was loosing it. So I figure grow it long, so far the front has not grown back; hope it doesn't become a mullet, ugh.  Sad

You're aware that you're hair continues to grow once you're dead?

I use a plug in iron straightener. I got it at walmart for $25.

However, if you don't want to fry your hair, then you need one of those ceramic irons. They work extremely well and FAST!

A falsehood. Perhaps for a few minutes to a few hours hair might be produced by a few hearty cells, but the "hair growth" that most people think of (and "nail growth") is an illusion produced by the shrinkage and decay of the surrounding skin.

Just a little product applied while wet (I recommend Aveda's "Hang Straight") and a blowdryer will keep your hair straight in a non-humid environment.

Just because you're growing your hair long doesn't mean you don't get haircuts. Get them at the same interval you always have, and a skilled stylist will keep in in a good shape that's palatable to the eye while it grows.

Hi,Lephron---See most of the gels/DAILY straightning/Ironing are very damaging to our precious hair in the long run.

While your hair is growing -until it reaches the desired level of growth-let it grow naturally--how ever i do knnow the inconvinience when it comes to Dates/parties/occasions etc---i would recommend you use an
EGO BOOSTER by Bed HEAD
and/or
cerum [not sure how it is spelt] by Bed HEAD

Both the above give the desired straightning effect till you wash your hair and at the same time have minimal damaging chemicals.

After you have reached your desired hair growth go in for a Extensive Hair Straightning --which should last you a good 3 mths--depending on several conditions ofcourse.

PS--if you or anyone else have any queries about LONG hair please feel free to contact me through my profile.
Afterall i have had hair longer than my shoulders from the time i was born.

Harry, you get curling irons too-

But if you want to naturally make it curly--keep it tied in a way like the William sisters or most african american people do.
If you do this for around 2-4 weeks your will keep getting curly by the day.

Well, as a female, I have very long hair. I have golden red hair that is almost down to my waist. I am very fortunate to have hair that grows fast and I usually get a trim about once every three to four months. I find that if you have your ends cut off, this helps to keep it healthy and makes it grow faster.

I don't mean to brag, but I have been complimented about my hair many many many times because no one else has hair like me......in my neighbourhood. It is a lot of work to take care of and sometimes I'd just like to cut it off but, when it comes right down to making that decision, I always change my mind. Typical woman eh?

PS, And if your wondering, yes, the drapes match the carpet!!! he he

Cameron Diaz had some really straight hair in Something About Mary. You might try what she did.

Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.
