What Do You Think About Jon Stewart?

Fri Jan 21, 2005 3:43 am

I personally think he is fair, he criticizes everyone, and then he laughs about it, and most of time he interviews extraordinary people.

What are your thoughts?

He's a very good comedian and social critic. I like his work a lot.

His appearance on Crossfire was partially responsible for the departure of Tucker Carlson, something we can all be thankful for.

Get his "America" book. I almost got tossed out of a bookstore for laughing so loud as I was looking at it. My wife got it for me for Christmas.

Did you see the Daily show on the Inauguration last night?

Great.

He is far more intelligent and insightful than most other media people give him credit for. He and his writing staff have become VERY good at criticing and calling shenanigans on politicians, politics, and perhaps most importantly the media.

I personally find it both funny and interesting how a little fake news show on basic cable has now become one of the better sources for political and cultural commentary.

He's a "hebrew prophet" as the God's Politics guy said. The Daily Show is my religion. It's so fake and yet so true. (And he points out the absurdity of the left too people!). I loved America the Book and his Crossfire appearance.

I generally like sarcastic humour, but JS rubs me the wrong way. Can't stand him. I feel like telling him to get a grown-up job.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

He was funny, had a good show, then started talking about things that he shouldn't...now he is a douchebag.

If he starts talking about seeing guys in the bushes on the back of a 20...while on weed...again, I'll watch.

He's my hero!  Big thumbs up

Seriously, I used to watch Leno and O'brien. But Stewart is so intelligent and witty. And I love how 99% of his show is about politics, not hollywood.

I was debating wether or not to get the book... I think I will

Man,

I would give anything to see that Crossfire show... I am not in the habit of watching it... partially cause I can't stand Tucker's haircut.

Back to the daily show, I just cannot wait to to see what "Senior Re-inauguration correspondent" Rob Cordry has to say about today's events. LOL! I think it is the whole "self-mocking" aspect of the show that right-wingers cannot stand.

(2 minutes pass..)

Whoops! Lazy lazy me... Just got the link guys, enjoy! That took oh, about 4.5 seconds of googling... Great stuff! :http://homepage.mac.com/duffyb/nobush/iMovieTheater231.html

If you mean you want to see the clip of Jon Stewart on crossfire, just google it and you should find the clip online.
