Actually ... you mean "Excellent Progress in Palestine"?
And how long before Israel start to take credit for that?
There is no Palestine yet. It's still a wish. Until then, it seems most the moves are being made by Israel, not the Palestinian authority. I am satisfied, so far, with the words and intentions of Abbas, as they're long overdue, but there's a long way to go. And Damric, everything that was mentioned are things ISRAEL is doing, so the thread is appropriate.
but now the big problem lies with how the illegal settlers react to the Israeli govt's tearing down of the settlements of the west bank
No. The big problem lies in whether Abbas will actually dismantle terror groups
Actually, BOTH, in my mind, are vital. Already we see those in the settlements protesting, but in the long run, it'll have to be tough cookies for them. If Israel is to have peace, then many of these settlements have to go. Many are in those settlements for one reason-to stick their collective tongues out at the Arabs, and that will not do.
Conversely, so far, Abbas is saying the right words, and leaning towards the right policies, but they're still words. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and he has to show he can follow through with his wish to end the terror attacks on Israel.
