Your Favorite Beer

Thu Feb 10, 2005 8:14 pm

Let's see what everyone's favorite beer is.

Mine is Corona, if it is available, I will always drink it over anything else.
There's nothing like chilled Corona with a slice of lemon.  Smile

It's a tie between Smithwicks, Kilkenny and Nastro Azzurro.

Crown Lager  Big thumbs up

A lot of people seem to think its over-hyped...I don't think it can be beaten on a warm summer's afternoon.

I have no firm favourite, but I like, among others, Nastro Azzurro, Tiger, Kingfisher, Woegaaden (spelt wrong) and Kamanetza (spelt wrong. It's a Bulgarian beer).

My favorite beer would have to be Birra Moretti. Unfortunately I have to drive to New Orleans in order to get it. As far as American beers go, Michelob is the best that I have had.

I'm more of a wine and mixed drinks guy, but I gotta give props to Great Lakes Brewing Co. I especially love the Christmas Ale. If it were brewed all year 'round, I might just become a beer guy.

Corrona is a beer? For me it's colored water with flavored chemicals.

Real beer is XXXX, VB and Fürstenberg.

And I've learned in Australia: NEVER EVER DRINK FOSTERS!

Glad to hear someone else mention Sierra Nevada....That has been one of my favorites for years! Another of my favorites recently has been Pyramid Apricot Ale. Some say that Beer & fruit shouldn't mix, but this is a good combo in my book!  Big grin

1. Hacker Pschorr
2. Warsteiner
3. Leinenkugels Berry Weiss and Honey Weiss. (Haven't seen it beyond MN/WI)
4. Anchor Steam
5. Kinsale Lager (haven't seen it outside of Kinsale unfortunately)

When the wife hijacks the dough, its all about Busch Light...I know, I can be white trash when the funds are low.

If you ever wind up in Milwaukee, take a left on the main street the airport proper ty is on, Howell, and go under the runway tunnel. On your right will be a gentlemen's club, Airport Lounge. Ten yards up the road is an awesome beer house, the Landmark. There are over fifty different beers/ales/lagers/stouts on tap, and each one is only $2/pint from 4-7. Do the passport of beers, have one of each (spread this out over a few days), and get a free stein.

Cool place.

Heineken! It's kind of expensive over here but I can't help it, I just love it. Among the national stuff, Sol is my number one. Corona is yellow water compared with Sol.
