VW Electrical System Question (directionals)

Fri Feb 11, 2005 9:19 am

I'm having a problem with the right directional on my 1998 Beetle (here comes the abuse). The dash indicator is blinking very rapidly, and the actual signal isn't going at all. What do I need to replace?

That would be a relief. I thought it might be a relay, or something. I'll fit a new one tomorrow.

The rapid flashing of the indicator on the dash is designed that way to tell you that you need to change the bulb. True of most cars.

It's not exactly a design, it's just electrical physics at work  Big grin
Funny to see how some car makers make a marketing argument out of a totally normal occurrence.

You need to replace your car, which by the way most 17 year old girls get for their birthday.  Big grin

......or is LHMARK trying to attract the 13-17 year old female demographic??

I thought most girls got a Pontiac Sunfire for their 17th birthday?

Actually Capt. they upgrade to the Sunfire at 17, they start off with the Beetle at 16.

BTW - I drive a Grand Prix, but nice try.
