That's almost as funny and stupid as that 4 year old German Girl who sings snappy the Crocidile.

This is the link for the video. There's a CD out, there are ringtones out. They are playing it in remixes at clubs, it turned into quite a hit.

I started a thread about this not to long ago.

Anyway, I wonder who this guy really is. I am sure he never expected to become so famous from this.

It doesn't, i think QR is just guessing...

The actual song is sung by a band called Haiducii, i've seen the real video. Hmm *wonders about the sexual orientation of the band members*

So has Schnappi reached the UK or the US yet? It's currently playing on the radio here. Maybe this could be the first artist from Germany to really make the international breakthrough? We are so proud of her.  Wink/being sarcastic

I saw this guy on CNN last night (Friday)...Anderson Copper played the whole thing during his evening newscast....have to admit....that song would grow on me if I could hear it more often.

Well, I went to the store and bought it. It's worth the purchase. The whole album is actually good, and I usually HATE this type of music.

The band is actually called O-Zone. (If I understand correctly from the previous thread, Haiducii is another group that actually copied the song and sang a near identical version of it in another market, and were then promptly sued. the O-Zone version is the one people are actually hearing.) The disc is called Disc-O-Zone. Also, I believe they are actually form Moldova, where a form of Romanian is spoken (so yes, romanian is the language.)

The video, which is full of aircraft (!), can be seen here:

Next flight.... who knows.

I think his name is Stuart. If I were Stuart, I would make more videos and charge money for people to see them. Stuart could become famous just like William Hung!

I doubt he is Dutch.

First off, he's fat, and I've never seen a really fat Dutch person. Secondly, look at that room he's in. It doesn't look like the standard "euro" decor you would expect to find. It looks very American/Canadian.

"Schnappi" is known worldwide now - cool.
Ok, we just can't hear it any longer but we have to make clear it was a children's song and adults love it.
We have little strange music favorites at the moment in Germany. Remember the song the guy in post 1 is singing we have 2 versions of it in Germany at #1 and #2 hit list here.
Nobody can say now we Germans don't have any humour.

And concerning the boy (QR332 wrote the link): he has a good voice but not the Schnappi girl.

I love the Schnappi versions of Groenemeyer, ACDC etc.

QR332, I don't have links but can send you MP3's per mail if you want to.

Kirkie, not even responding  Big grin

But it was fun seeing this again, I was browsing a site that has these kinds of movies everywhere some time ago, and I was completely cracking up about this.. so incredibly funny..  Smile

And to confirm, the official band is indeed O-zone. That other stuff was a complete rip-off that surfaced just when the song was scoring big time in Europe.

No no, Nono! William Hung and Stuart are different! First off, Stuart was lipsyncing. Hung doesn't. That's why he's crap. Second, Stuart moves more. Hung? Nah! He just goes "she bang..." and drives me NUTS!

This is the numa numa guy. He's not Dutch, but a fat American kid with too much time on his hands to sing along to a catchy Rumanian techno song. This flash animation has gotten pretty famous, it was featured on CNN and VH1's Best Week Ever. A lot of people on http://www.newgrounds.com are try to be the next numa numa guy, it's really stupid. There's even 13 year olds setting up web cameras and dancing around while singing this song and submitting it to that site.

Just to clarify a few things.
