Student Housing For Community Colleges

Fri Feb 18, 2005 1:29 am

Hi all...I'm going to portland, OR next year for school, to participate in a flight program. Obviously the schools don't have dorms or anything to live in. Does anyone know anything that may be useful for me to find a place? Are there like any "student oriented" appartments that are constructed for those reasons (housing CC students) thanks for any info!

Don't forget the possibility of a garage apartment or a room to let by someone who lives nearby.

Which CC is this? I might be able to tell you which office to give a call.

There is likely somebody on campus who maintains a list of off-campus housing providers reasonably close to your school. You might be able to find something that is not only cheap but has fairly flexible terms. Websites like rent.net or apartments.com are generally good resources for finding rentals as well. If all else fails call the admissions office and ask who might know.

Otherwise the campus paper, or campus papers of nearby colleges, or the weekly free rag might be a good place to look as well.
