Stood Up Update!

Thu Feb 24, 2005 9:16 am

Well I have been at work with her several days now. I have not said a word to her, nor has she brought it up. I take deals into her and let her know they are clear and she can pay on them, and process DMV. I am being civil and professional, its like we never dated, just business!

Well the today she wanted to go to lunch. Told her "sorry I am real busy, plus I have a customer comming in". What about dinner? "Oh wow I am going out with the guys tonight". "What about tomorrow?" ..Sorry I have an eye doctors appointment tomorrow night, I cant see that happening...(Ok I did not say the last part, but I really wanted to. I told her I already had plans).

I think she is really getting the hint, anyway I am done with that one!

BRAVO!

Sorry, I read your previous thread, and it seems to me that this woman is a nasty piece of work.

Sounds like you made a serious (end expensive) effort for nothing...

That creature really is a piece of work!! I applaud you for being strong and professional in your dealings with her. It's more than what the bytch deserves, but as pointed out the other day, you need to make sure your own butt is covered.

People like that...male and female are plentiful out there. Try not to let yourself become jaded because one day, someone truly worthy of you will present herself.  Smile

That would be nice! Give the bitch a taste of her own medicine.

forget her man! good on you for having the balls to do something special though and asking her out, i'm to intimidated by women due to past experiences, i got stood up 3 times by the same girl and she actually made the arrangements.

1st time she rang me just after i got home from LA and travelled 40hrs, she started speaking Greek to me to impress me, which really flattered me, but she rang at 10pm in the night and i was already quite smashed so i didnt go, but her retribution was when i asked her out a few weeks later and at the last minute as i was about to leave she said she was cancelling.

then she organised a dinner for us in late january at a top seafood restaurant, i messaged her at 7pm with the sms saying, "so i take it dinners not on?" her reply was "yea sorry i have to cancel, to busy and i forgot"

3rd one was a few weeks ago, we were meant to go to drinks, as i was leaving the house like the 2nd time she rang and cancelled last minute, funny thing is, we get along awesome, everytime we've been out we've done some great stuff and it ends up being a very long day for us. I sms her every now n then and she wont reply immediately but a day or so later she will call to chekin and see how i'm doing.

great girl, one of the best i've met in ages, just wish she'd get her act together! i said to a friend " this is the girl i'm going to marry" not sure now, but who knows.

HAH! Yeah!!!  Big thumbs up

You're the man for that one. I have to disagree with these others about giving her some of her medicine by telling her yes and not showing up. Sounds like you handled it w/some class.  Smokin cool

I hope you keep this thread, as I've already printed it out for myself. It's good to keep reminders of such things, because we often forget, and women can really stick it to us if we're not careful. WTG man.

By the way, not to rub it in too deeply against her, but that must have been a Kodak moment when you gave her the last rub off. Way to stand your ground, because that may have been difficult with her asking you THREE times. You know now she would've toyed with you again. That would've been great to see the look on her face when you told her after the 3rd time.  Confused

Awesome!

By the way, how old is she, if ya don't mind at all....

Hahaha, Monty...I'm on the same boat as you...I know this girl who I've known for 5 years, we've dated for a year then became really goods friend for obvious reasons. I still see her alot when im not working and whenever I go home on the weekends, I'll ask her if she has any plans...everytime it's "sorry, I have rehearsal, I've got family over, not a good time, yadda yadda yadda" I'm ok, ok, oh well, maybe next time mood...ya know...I got to stop by at her house on Valentine's morning to give her gifts I bought her, she liked 'em, talked for 15 minutes, then i left to drive to work...I wish I could see her every weekend...Oh, btw, she loved the gifts I bought her in Perth.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Maybe talking to her and letting her know what your thinking would be much more benificial.

But I guess you would rather play games. How is that working for you now?

oh right your alone.

I think I really have her figured out. She usually DATES older men, because they will typically have the bankroll to take care of her, but she still wants to play around with ones around her age, so she does not feel like a gold digger. Anyway I may see her when it is convenient for me, but as far as a LTR, FORGET THIS ONE!

Well...you've taken control of the situation and now she's paying you more attention. Congratulations.

But don't be too harsh on her - you never know, she might actually respect you for standing up to her behaviour. Keep your options open about dating her again. She could be a very different person now that she knows you're in charge. Good luck.
