LAX Airport Hotels

Sat Mar 05, 2005 2:40 pm

Im thinking of taking a trip down to LAX to do some spotting just for the night, and curious as to if you guys know any hotels that are right next to the airport, that are easily accessible? Im a poor 19 year old, SO price is going to be a big consideration. BUT all input is greatly appreciated. THANKS!  Smile

Well . . . .I still have to go with the Airport Marriott . . . I'm a Marriott person no matter where I go - if there's a Marriott, you'll find me there.

It's a nice hotel, full service, easily accessible, and if you get the right room (up high, west tower, facing west), you can watch every thing going on at LAX.

Don't know what the rates are these days . . . .but a quick look at

www.marriott.com will let you know. Can't beat Marriott.

I'd recommend just driving a mile or two (there are shuttles from the airport) and stay at a hotel in Inglewood on Century Blvd. You can get hotels from $50 a night. Then get on a skateboard, and skate down the block to the In-N-Out and SPOT!!!  Smile

I would recommend Hacienda or Furama. Both are cheap and located near the airport. Hacienda has also an airport shuttle and is a cross the street to a very good airplane-model store. I haven't been to Furama but I think it's somewhat like Hacienda.

If u want cheap and cheerful, with a good crowd and atmosphere, try the suites at the Backpackers Paradise / Aventurer on West Century Blvd. I stayed there a couple of times a few years ago and met some nice people there.

I would say stay at the Four Points as it has the greatest view or so it seems of the airport.

Spiritofalaska,

If you want, I can look at some of our properties and see what discount can be managed. Westin LAX comes to mind as the closest to the airport, but I can check others in the area. If you're interested, e mail me your dates through my profile.

cheers

I stayed twice in the Hacienda Hotel, very cheap and very good with a free shuttle service to LAX and a good bar/restaurant.

Oh btw, there's the Four Points and the Sheraton at LAX too, but they are franchised so I can't help you out there, but the Westin LAX is an owned property, so thats the only one I can help you out with.

cheers
