Fri Mar 11, 2005 8:45 pm

For me, it's having my (highly informative and interesting) threads deleted.

People driving around with not only lights on their cars when it's daylight, but having fog lights on during the day, then the sun is cracking the pavements, ggrrrr.
Why drive when you can fly?

So I guess you got the email,  Embarrassment

What gets on my nerves;
Users who start a thread and say that this will probably get deleted.

Real answer.

What really get on my nerves, a customer will ring and say I need a part for something, we sell electronics. So conversation might be I need a part for a Radar, and you ask what brand and they say JRC and you ask them which model and they say I don't know I don't remember that bit,
or a customer will ring and ask for the phone number of one of our salesman, and we give it to them and then they realise they haven't got any way of writing down the number you are about to give them.  Angry
Why fly non stop when you can connect

- Personal conversations on mobile phones in public places.
- Popping one's gum.
- Makeout fests in public.
- Drivers who don't use their turn signals.

My first girlfriend and I would make out in the mall kiss . What's wrong with that?!  puckerup

Since I had a lite mishap or two with my truck, my left signal doesn't work (and probably for a little while longer). If you're in Northern VA, watch out!  wideeyed

Yeah I definatly agree with you, but i'll add:

- Drivers who use there turn signals 7 1/2 miles ahead of where they need to
turn, then slow down to ZERO to take a right turn onto an empty street.

- People who "dig for gold" at stoplights, stop signs, and at tolls.

-Lastly, people who drive 20 in a 35.

you're supposed to drive with them on.

Amen. Especially when you're in a public place and have to walk past them and then they stare at you saying "EXCUSE ME!" or "Why don't you take a picture..." with their eyes.

For me, it's people who drive below the speed limit when conditions permit, or when someone's in the fast lane only going 70-75 mph (arrghh).

FYI: I believe in Canada (or at least in Ontario) its the law to drive with headlights on during day-time. Here state-side, it is highly recommended (depending on where you live). The rationale is better visibility for on-coming traffic particularly in haze, fog, twilight etc. During the day, I always drive with lights on.  Smile

For me:

- People who interrupt you when you're trying to make a statement. The ultimate dissrespect. If you disagree, fine...but WAIT until the person has finished before offering your thoughts/critique.

- People who drive in the left lane BELOW the speed limit. The left lane is for passing only, gang...be it the Autobahn or I-5 or I-75 or whatever. Don't want to drive the speed limit + 10mph? Get over to the middle lane or the slow lane. Stop being a "self-appointed speed regulator" as my Dad would say.

Re: headlights: 7pm to 7am is required in most places. Most, if not all, new cars have daytime running lights for safety that are always on. I used to be a critic of this, but depending on where you're driving, the lighting situation can always change, and as long as you have your headlights on, it makes it tougher for the other person who potentially crashes into you that they couldn't see you, if you had your headlights or daytime running lights on.

DRL's (daytime running lights) are required in Canada and many European countries. Many (if not most) cars sold in the USA have DRL's. I use front fog lights on clear nights to help illuminate the ditches...they help to prevent a deer collision. I agree that rear fog lights shouldn't be used unless there's heavy fog, rain, or snow.

- A-holes that refuse to use directional signals, especially for lane changing ( death penalty offense: "breaking with the wheel" is the perfect method )

- People with no 1st-hand knowledge ( much less experience ) on a subject/situation who nonetheless spout declaritive opinions in an authoritative manner.

- People who take advantage of other's good nature

- Sanctimonious hypocrites who go through the week as a cheating, lying opportunist ( or take advantage of other's good nature ) yet aver their virtuousness when it's convenient ( grandstand ) or just because they have a two-arc fish on their decklid or that they regularly attend church on sunday

There are others, but the world would go 'round much much better ridded of these people.

-People who judge people based on race.

-People who don't even deserve a girlfriend but they always seem to get the best ones. banghead

-People who spit out the word "anti-semetic" more than the word "hello".

-Getting home when the song I like JUST starts playing on the radio.

-People who like to challenge rules and laws because they think its cool, and they think their tough because their doing it.

-People who seem to express their every freakin' emotion in their MSN Messenger nickname - all they need is a sign saying "I'm an attention whore! Come in here and ask me whats wrong! PLEASE!"

-Girls who keep going on about how fat they are, when they don't have an ounce of fat on them.

-People who see the need to dress and act like they just came out of a rap video (we have A LOT of those here - too many, in fact)

-People who crash parties.

-The IT coursework i'm "working on right now"  Wink

-Seeing people talk about us Arabs like they know everything about us, when they have never spoken to an Arab or been to an Arab city.

-People who seem to think that because theres a war in Iraq, the entire Arab world is now not a safe place.
