Last year I rented a car at several occasions from Sixt Vienna with a credit card. A month later when I returned to my home country, I noticed about 200 additional Euros taken from my account by the car rental company. I had rented the car on several occasions, and couldn't figure out whether I was the one who had done bad calculations or not. I just forgot about it and moved on.
Last weekend I took a car for four days/78 Euros. When I called them today to check how much they retrieved, they said 120Euros is the base price, 42 Euros more than the signed contract (the additional Km are charged somewhere else, that is not the problem). Now I have to fax the contract because they don't even have a copy in their database. They don't know how much they made me sign for, can't figure out anything of what happened last weekend, and can't even track my record, I had to tell them everything from my name to the car I took and the days. No searchable database. And of course a repetition of the story of my life and who I am everytime I call them, because they promise to call back and don't.
Once I fax a copy to them so that they see it, I will have to fight them as usual. I know it's only 42 Euros, but that's 50% more than the original price, I don't understand how I am supposed to sign contracts that carry my credit card number without knowing how much to expect.
I am very tired of wasting time and effort with this company, I will not hire from them anymore. Everytime I rent a car from an employee, he/she doesn't know a VW from a Lancia and don't know what I mean when I say "Alfa coupe, me want that one", they answer "you car cannot chose what want, you say category and we choose", and if I say "what category is the Alfa coupe?" they say "Alfa coupe is special. You cannot chose car. Only category". And he wrote initials on a piece of paper and gave it to me. Till now I don't know what category is the Alfa Coupe. There are hundreds of ill communication examples like that one. And it has nothing to do with speaking German.
Now the question. I signed something and they took more... Can I do anything about that? How can I vent my frustration? Think of last summer's money..
