Would be nice to be back in YYZ at that Boeing parking lot.
If the dates make it possible to attend I'll definitely be interested.

I can probably make it sometime after the Paris Air Show (I think I get back to the Americas on the 21st).

Would be cool to go to Canada. Apart from a quick three hour trip to Winnipeg, I've never been.

Hello all, my family and I will be in YYZ from 4-22 til 4-24 for a short visit. We will make at least one trip to the Wendy's and a possible Fed Ex run as well. If anyone is able to make the trip out during my stay we would enjoy say hi to everyone again.

If the dates above are not good for everyone we will make a couple more YYZ trips this summer so I hope smething can be worked out regarding a meet

I'll follow this thread for more updates.

Nuno, when do you get back?... and Sean also needs to be there.  Smile

I was thinking of seeing if there was interest for a meet. I'm moving to YYZ on April 24 and will be there until May 01 and even that date is tenative, as I am not sure if I will drive back to YVR to just stay out east.

Well well, starting a YYZ meet without consulting me?  Wink

I'm back to YYZ on the 29th of April, and there seems to be interest from some in a meet sometime in May or June from others who have asked me. Let's see what can be arranged.

As always I am more than happy to visit T.O.. Me and a few college buddies of mine are trying to meet up for a few days, and the suggestion of Toronto was warmly met. but knowing my friends and how last minute they are, this is not for certain. I think we were planning on the weekend of May 7th. But I doubt they would be up for standing in the Wendy's parking lot at Pearson for a few hours.

I would just like to suggest that later rather than sooner might be a better idea.

Don't worry Nuno ... no one was talkin' crazy. We'll wait for you to organize it pal.

I'm trying to remember all the promises I made for when I see people again...Let's see, I promised PilotJMartin that I'd make him some of Pe@rson's curry...but that's probably not gonna happen. I swore I'd beat up Emirates345 for some reason, but I can't remember why. I promised Captaingomes I'd bring him a Tim Horton's tea (bag in or out Nuno?).

Yoo Yoo - what was the name of that greasy restaurant that everyone always raves / complains about? Are people gonna eat there? If so, I may actually stay for more than 30 minutes this time.

See you guys soon...you too Phyllis.

It's called Zets. I don't know why some people bitch about it. It's good for breakfast. It's cheap, it's good and you get a lot of food for your money. Something that seems all too uncommon in Ontario.

I really like it anyway Big grin

I LIKE Zet's! I ate there after the Pixies concert, and it was perfect late-night food. Deal me in for a YYZ meet. I can make it whenever.

I just had some Zet's this past Saturday after a long day of spotting. It's great food, and like Kris said, it's well priced, and you get alot on your plate. The Zet burger is huge even without all the extra toppings. You'll give your mouth muscles a good stretch... lol

I'm up for a YYZ meet anytime in May or June. Except for May 14th, which is when I'll be going to the Henry's photographic and Digital imaging show at the International centre, and on June 26th, which is the London international Air show. Will anyone else be attending either of the two events?

Hey it's me again, just make sure it's after the 15th June!!!!!! I can't go anytime b4 that due to work.....however, i'll be at YXU for the airshow without a doubt so i guess i can meet a few ppl there! But if we have a YYZ meet in the last half of june or anytime after that i'll be able to attend for sure! I just can't get time off work b4 the 15th june. So i guess i'll leave it in more capable hands to oganize something, but i'm glad to see so many people willing to come out to *ahem* spot.  Smile

Cheers

I guess no approximate dates even eh?

No general consensus on the 2nd Saturday in May or last Saturday in May (just throwing random dates out) or something upon which a more concrete date could be founded upon.

Seems to have gone off-topic anyway.

Well, let's wait until sometime in May to get a better idea of when it's good for everybody, but right now too many people want it at different times, so we'll get a consensus when most can make it and make the best of it.

Martin, most of these get-together threads have been in non-aviation lately, so it's appropriate to have it here. Besides, the more colourful people visit non-aviation anyhow.
