Today is the 44th anniversary of the first human that flew into space on April 12, 1961, 44 years ago and that was Yuri Gagarin. It was known as the space race back then, the Russian's beat us into space first, but America won the race to the moon. Today there is no space race, there is now a partnership and friendship between America and Russia, cooperating as a team of nations to continue construction on the International Space Station. There is a total of 16 nations building the ISS. This May NASA will launch the space shuttle program again, Discovery is lifting off after more than 2 years it has been grounded after the Columbia disaster, were committed and determined and faithful for the space program, so here we launch!
