Toulouse Tips

Sat Apr 16, 2005 6:23 am

Hey guys.

Moi and 2 friends will be going to Toulouse on the 26th of april just for the day, we are planning on doing the Airbus tour (already booked) and maybe hang around the city for a while. we will arrhaaive at 11:00 am and leave at 09:00 pm on Easyjet.

Now I need some tips from any fellow Toulouse A.netter

First. How far is the airport from the city centre, how much is the airport shuttle buses and how often they run.

The Airbus tour is scheduled at 2:00 pm but we arrive at 11 so we might head to the city first for a bit of a walk and some food and then head back to the airport and find out how to get to the Airbus thing.

Any recommendations for sightseeing in TLS? (no museums as we do not have time for that)

Merci

MIAspotter.

P.S. Maybe if we are lucky we could see the A380 doing some testflights!

Hi!

I lived in Toulouse for a year in my 3rd year of college (university).

The airport is approximately 15 minutes from the city center.
From the airport the first departure is at 07h35 until 00h15 every 20 minutes
From the city the first departure is at 05h00 until 20h20 during the weekdays.
Here is a link: http://www.toulouse.aeroport.fr/US/p...cRoot,812C44C3,IDPAGE,598.rwi.html
If you're going to go into the city the easiest is to get off and then on again at "Place Wilson". Fare is 5,90 euros.

Here you have the official web page: http://www.mairie-toulouse.fr/ANGLAIS/Accueil_En.htm

For a quick bite to eat, if you like crepes, go to "Le Sherpa" on the Rue du Taur, off of the "Place du Capitole" about a 6 minute walk from the bus stop. You can even see "place wilson" and "rue du taur" from here: http://www.mairie-toulouse.fr/ANGLAIS/Map/CentreVillle.htm

I hope this helps. I LOVE Toulouse, I spent the best 9 months of my life there.
Bonjour Chef!

Thanks a lot for the Info! Nice to know the airport is relatively close to the city centre.

I am really looking forward to go there and I hope I will love it too!
