Best South Park Episode

Thu Apr 21, 2005 9:06 am

I am trying to download some episodes. My roommate and I are addicted to South Park and couldn't decide on the best episode, any comments? If it's possible, can you tell me the season of the episode.

Too many to count.

But for me, the two-part "Do the handicapped go to hell?" is up near the top.

Has anyone noticed that South Park's animation has become more advanced this year? It's not just the cut and paste stuff anymore, (I liked the simple animation, made it more funny). It's not a big change, just looks enhanced by computers.

I agree with Chugach, there are too many South Park episodes to pick one favorite out, most of them gave me 30 minutes of "rolling on the floor".

I especially like the episode where Cartman pretends he is a robot, "Awesom-o". Watched it today - very funny.

Yes, "Awesome-O" is up there. It doesn't rely on topical humor. It's pure imagination.

The "Radiohead" episode is another one of my favorites, featuring Scott Tennerman VS Cartman.

The japanamation episode where the boys pretend they're ninja's is worthy of an Emmy imho.

The movie is a work of art.

I believe the comedy central pilot was the last episode they did cut and paste. It apprently takes a very long time, whrere as the computer animated ones (which are/where designed to look like stop motion) can be done much more easily (quickly). Thats why they are able to make fun of current events better than most shows.

Because they use a very simple technique of computer animation (they use computers to simulate the motion of construction paper), it only takes 5 days to make a south park episode. For example, the new episode tonight made reference to the new pope.

Good point. Unlike The Simpsons and other animated series there is no need to ship the work off to Korea for the final product, which is why SP is so ahead of the curve and topical.

Also liked the Tooth Fairy Crime racket episode too.

There are definately too many to list.

Have any of you guys seen the Spirit of Christmas episode? I remember it being very popular in school, back in 1997 or 98. It might have been an Internet-only pilot or something. It was a classic!

"Russell Crowe: Fighting Around the World"

"Now Tugger's brought me to one of the greatest places for fighting in North America: Brooklyn, New York. There's lots of minorities here, and they don't take kindly to whitey." – Russell Crowe

I still laugh my ass off every time I think about Tugger the Tugboat shooting himself when Crowe started singing.

Also Chef's new plasma tv accidently goes into H.E.M. (Human Eradication Mode) and starts destroying SouthPark.

An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig. Especially the clone of Stan. But the best lines (As usual) comes from Cartman:

Cartman: I'd never let a woman kick my ass. If she tried anything, I'd be like "Get your bitchass back in the kitchen and bake me a pie!"

Cartman:Yeah, if some sissy bitch tried to kick my ass, I'd be all like, hey listen missy, why don't you just go knit me a sweater, before I slap you in the face.
Shelly: Who said that?
(Stan, Kyle, and Cartman point to Kenny.)

Cartman:If a girl pulled that with me I'd be like 'Yo! Why don't you start dressing me up like a mailman and making me dance for you while you go smoke crack and have sex with some guy in my dad's bed'!

My favorite is definitely "Child Abduction Is Not Funny." Not surprisingly, it came out right around the time the Elizabeth Smart case was going on.

Anyways, all the parents in the town are freaking out becuase the news keeps reporting child abductions, and that kids aren't safe with, at first, people outside the community. So, they have the owner of City Wok built a "great wall" around South Park, which subsequently gets attacked by Mongolians on several occasions. Eventually the news reports that children are mostly abducted by their parents, so all the parents send the kids out into the world on their own so they aren't able to abduct their own children.

Its an excellent episode, but what makes it awesome is the part that Lu Kim, owner of City Wok, plays.

I have yet to find a south park episode i dont like. "Critter Christmas" was funny as hell Big grin The one from a few years ago when they go to canada and capture saddam was the best. I never saw it coming-and they introduced the City Wok dude.

The other one which came out right after that when santa got shotdown over iraq was great too.
