The World Through Your Window

Sat Apr 23, 2005 9:22 am

Well, it's 1:11am and I'm wide awake as a result of drinking too much coffee earlier trying to sober up, so it must be time to post an utterly pointless thread on A.Net

How does the world look through the window of your computer room/office, or wherever you spend most of your time on A.Net? Here's a 15 second (night time) exposure of what I see through the window of the computer room at home. The orange glow is from Bradford city centre 3 or so miles East of my house.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/MMSR5/Picture441.jpg

What's your view like?

Paul

There you go, thats what I can currently see out of my window. Thats what you get when you ask for photos at 2:09am!

BTW the photo is of the street light outside the house, there are no other lights visible from the house...

The Southern ocean and Gulf St. Vincent is visible in the horizon.

The rather depressing view I wake up to, showing the mean, tough streets of Manchester and, occasionally, the odd yobbo.

Fancy doing a house swap for a quick holiday, Springbok747?

Sorry to spoil the thread, but there is a tree in front of my window that kind of obstructs the whole view, so I can post a photo of my house instead. In winter, I can see a field and some more houses... in spring and summer, just the tree.  Silly

BAxMAN,
Maybe you and your neighbours should think of tearing down those walls. They make the houses look like prisons. No offense, pal.

They are needed for the residents' own protection when the ruffians go drinking cider on the weekend.

I would be only too willing. Although you wouldn't be getting your keys back.

My view out my 2nd floor bedroom/computer room window is to the north, looking out over a bunch of trees and the Front Range as it fades into the horizon up towards Fort Collins...also visible are my old dorm buildings, since they are highrises and thus are visible above everything else...since my apartment complex is located at a slightly higher elevation than the rest of Boulder, and Boulder has almost no high-rises, those are the only buildings visible out my window...out my small bathroom window I have a wonderous view of the Front Range almost literally in my backyard...the mountains are no more than a mile or two from my apartment complex...simply stunning!

I will have an ordinary view of the fields of our village

An ordinary view of the nearby houses

And a surreal view (f!@#$% neighbours).

If only I could understand them Carrib  Wink
And they are family and you can't be bad at them because they 're old.
They are spoiling all our attempts to make our village prettier. Sad

LOL... OMG family on top of it.. well good luck. It's just I'm not sure if they are preparing to launch an attack against something or trying to reach aliens with all that communication like equipment LOL... but if they are family ya just gotta luv em... look at it this way, they are perhaps free entertainment and a conversation piece all rolled together. Still.. the new place and area look nice, hey it's Greece afterall
