Tunisia To Be UTC+2

Wed Apr 27, 2005 7:40 pm

As of May 1st Tunisia will have the same time as the European community and other countries, and this as an attempt to reduce fuel consumption and energy wasting !!! We will have all the way around !!! I wonder how such a measure contribute in saving energy ? Is it really efficient ?

I thought it already was?

Last time I was there it was GMT+1, so if it's now going to be GMT+2 then it has to be summertime (BST+1).
Lead me not into temptation, I can find my own way there...

I confirm WhiteHatter !!! Adding an hour had been experienced for two or three successive years during the 80s and then it was proven that the result was not as expected. What about the results in Europe ? Are they "good" enough to make a little disturb in people brains and habits  Wink

It is estimated the average EU household saves about €20-40 a year on their energy bills because of daylight saving hours/summertime.
not a lot if you consider most households spend over a hundred a month on heating and lighting...
