Freemail Services

Thu Apr 28, 2005 11:43 pm

Hi, what Freemail services do you guys use? What do you recommend?

My favorite is, as they offer free IMAP (which is fantastic). Small Mailbox though. Super easy to navigate, with great help tools, very self explaining and user-friendly. Super functions! TOP!

Gmail is very decent in my eyes. Great Mailbox, no IMAP though

Before, I used the German-based GMX (, which has turned out to be crap, as HTML emails can often not be read, and the internal spamfilter is working bad...

I also like the German-based, as they also have free IMAP

Hotmail in my eyes is crap, as well as yahoo..

any experiences with others?? Particularly I am interested in freemails with free IMAP!

I have had no problems with Yahoo. I think Hotmail sucks and GMail is cool, but I cannot bring myself to drop my yahoo address or the past 6 or 7 years for the GMail name I have. Plus with Yahoo going to 1GB soon, whats the point? Hell at 250MB I only fill about 5% at the most of my inbox.

You know, I won't even bother but har har.  Wink

Anyway I agree that Yahoo is fairly good although I didn't know it was going to 1GB. Nice one. Thinking about it I've had my Yahoo name since 1997. Crazy.

Yahoo, I have a GMail account but everyone has my yahoo account so that's the one I use, no complaints, good spam filter, and I don't need that big of an inbox.

I have a GMail account for moderating and I can't complain, they even increased the mailbox size from 1000 to 2140 MB lately.
