Scott Peterson's Home For Sale...

Fri May 13, 2005 2:59 am

....it can be yours for $400,000 and rising.

Good god, I don't see why on earth anyone would want a home where a pregnant woman was possibly murdered... celebrity or none. Yet there've been so many offers for this house that now the families are demanding backup checks to make sure they're going to legitly-intended home buyers and not collectors!

What say you: scalp-item? ...or haunted house in-the-making?

Capt..bust out your Cargo Bay pic. Whoever cares enough to care about Scott Petersons house going on the market doesn't have enough going on in their lives.

I didn't know Scott Peterson change (highlighted) his hair? What is up with him? Is that old or recent picture? I think he looks hot  eyepopping

In Gainesville, FL (home of the University of Florida), the apartments where the students were murdered in the fall of 1990 were long sought after and highly prized. People would literally be on waiting lists to get into them.

There is just some segment of our population that is sick and likes morbid things.

I think that two of the three complexes where the murders took place have now either been torn down or are about to be torn down.

....crikey Kocky, you're missing the point, save for the one atop your head--

--I'm not talking about Scott Peterson's house per se, but asking you types if you'd purchase ANY house within which someone was (actually or potentially) murdered, despite what kind of deal it might or might not be.

Which is why you decided to comment on it?  Smile

I'd buy the property, demolish the house and build something new.

That's how he looked when they arrested him:

new hair color, new beard, new car in his mother's name, more than $10000 in cash, camping gear, and only a few miles from the Mexican border.... hmmmm  Yeah sure

When I was about two we moved into a house in which a murder/suicide happened. We got a really good deal on the house because the crime scene was never cleaned(responsibility of owners/dead people). My father was a carpenter and made short work of the cleaning/repairs. I don't remember seeing any ghosts.  Wink

Now, he could have just been trying to pull an O.J. and was actually "searching for the real killers".  Yeah sure

I used to live in an apartment complex where a triple murder happened in the building next to mine. Someone also hung themselves in a tree right by where we parked our cars.. It didn't bother me.

I don't think so. Lacy and her child's ghosts must be all over that place. My question is: Who is the money from the sale of the home going to???

I doubt it is. Didn't look all that grand but then again nowdays, 400k doesn't buy much around here particulary.

I can see someone purchasing this home because of what it represents and the attached story. Also, most likely..they will get 15 minutes of fame because the media will make a story out of it.

This is in the same league as those who find Charles Mansons house thrilling etc. Pure publicity with a very low reality factor.

Biological mothers of both Scott and Lacey split the money down the center.

I used to live like two blocks from that house when I lived in Modesto. I think its an alright house, but I don't believe its worth 400k. You could buy a place with land outside of town for that much. But, I suppose the celebrity of the home has something to do with it.

Somebody have to be a real loser to buy a house like that.

WTF? Isn't he on home monitoring?  mischievous

I know he's sentenced to death, but he should be serving it at home. It makes sense. Lock up an outdoorsman in his own house for life. I guarantee he'll off himself within six months. It'll save the state a lot of money, plus they get to sell the house afterward for some quick cash.
