Star Registry

Fri May 20, 2005 3:31 am

Hello All..

Recently, I had a star named for my Best Friend as a Birthday Present... Does anyone know how I can find the star I named... It is in the Constellation Orion, and the Coordinates are

Orion RA 6h7m10.13s D 04 57'
(Add Degree Symbol between 4 and 5)

Any help here?

Also, has anyone else here ever done the same for somebody... I know some people criticize it, but I personally think it is a nice thing to do, especially 30 years from now when they look back, and still see it..

Hey BR715...go here:

Hopefully you can put in enough detail regarding right ascension and declination to pinpoint the star.

Reminds me of your typical Greenpeace assholes who would rather name a tree or whale after you instead of giving you a real gift.
