Sat May 28, 2005 2:16 am

I just subscribed to netflix yesterday, and my first movies are supposed to be shippied today. I signed up for the "unlimited 3 at-a-time plan". Is anyone else here a netflix member??? What are your thoughts?? Would anyone like to be my friend?!

LOL. J/k. I really want to try it. My neighbors have it and they now have a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge collection of burnt DVDs. I'm surprised those DVDs don't come with additional security features. Might try netflix some day.

Anyone tried Gamefly?

I was for one year until I moved to Mexico.

It was a great service, with the movies always getting on time. At that time I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area, really close to Netflix headquarters in San Jose, but I guess its service is the same regardless where you live.

Only one critic. When you ask for a movie with two DVD's, they only send one. You have to ask for the second one and it counts as another of your three allowed. Other than that, the service is great.

Could not be happier with the service.

Netflix is awesome, we started using them when we got a $22 late fee from Hollywood Video, and we thought why not get them delivered right to our door. I personally love them, they are great.

I've been more than happy with Netflix. There's a distribution center only 50 miles away, so the turnaround is fast. They email you when every DVD is shipped with an arrival date and they email when they receive every returned DVD. The DVD's always arrive a day earlier than promised. Every time! They ship out the next DVD in your queue the same day they receive one.

There's only one movie they don't have. I don't think anyone does. It's the British movie Threads, which is about the buildup to WWIII. Sheffeld gets nuked. It's MUCH better than the lame, watered-down American "version" called The Day After.
