This is the apartment complex I'm currently living in:

This is the Roskilde Cathedral, burial-place of all Danish kings & queens for the past couple of centuries. It's on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

And finally, if you're into music, this is probably what Roskilde is most known for, the Roskilde Festival:

Tel Aviv :

The City of Tel Aviv was founded in 1909, with Jaffa joining the municipality in 1949. The White City was constructed based on an urban plan by Sir Patrick Geddes. Tel Aviv is the country’s business center, as well as its center for cultur, art, music, dance, theater, fashion and cuisine.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has declared Tel Aviv a World Heritage Site for its treasure of Bauhaus architecture. Tel Aviv’s so-called White City is home to more buildings in the Bauhaus or Modern Movement style than anywhere in the world.

Puh, nice pictures, but some of them are way too big. It takes quite a while before they show up.

Anyway, this is Berlin:

Governmental quarter with Reichstag building
Hackesche Höfe
View out of Rosenhöfe
Museums Island with Bode Museum and TV tower
Unter den Linden with Brandenburg Gate in the background

Potsdam Square

And this is Prenzlauer Berg, "my" district (a big "Thank you" to the RAF for "missing" most of it  Wink):

Wow! I was really amazed by Doha...I'd like to check out a lot of the Gulf states like Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai, and Kuwait one day. This may seem like a dumb question perhaps, but how safe are Americans in those Gulf states right now? That would be my only hesitation, besides the oppressive heat of course.

Thanks for posting!

Let me put it this way: Qatar has a community of over 2,000 Americans, and there has not been a single attack against any racial group or nationality. There are no extremists here (as in extreme enough to turn to terrorism), and you are perfectly safe if you visit. You have absolutley notihng to worry about. The city is full of expats - Germans, British, Norweigens, French - nobody has any problems. The locals are generally pretty friendly to foreigners.

As for the heat, you can avoid it if you visit in March/April - The temperature is still in the low 30s (C) in those months, and it is great because its hot enough to swim and have a lot of fun but not too hot. Its 40C today  Sad.

Thanks! It is a very nice city, I wouldn't call it beautiful, but an excellent place to live. I've been here for 10 years and when I first came to the city, there was nothing, and I mean nothing. the city really developed under Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa, and hes done a great job at developing Qatar's economy. I definatley recommend a visit.

Utrecht, Netherlands

The 4th largest city in the Netherlands, we are home to the largest University (Universiteit Utrecht). We are also the rail hub of the country. The Dom Tower pictured below is the tallest in the country and is situated near the Oude Gracht (the Old Canal) our main shopping street.

I don't have a picture of the building I live in - I somehow managed to delete the pictures I made last year when I moved in... but I was out yesterday evening taking some pictures of Frankfurt's skyline - and here it is:

I took this picture from the "Alte Brücke" (Old Bridge) crossing the river Main, this is southwest of downtown, I live northwest of downtown.

Doha is on the Persian Gulf, there are plenty of very nice beaches. It is North of Saudi Arabia, here is a map:

I'm Palestinian and I still haven't gotten the chance to see Palestine or Israel - we were supposed to go back in 2000 but then the intifada started... the cities I want to see the most are Nablus, Jerusalem, Jaffa & Acre. As for the heat and humidity, trust me, nothing beats the humidity and heat of Qatar and the other countries of the Persian Gulf.

My dad went to the John Hopkins Medical Centre in Baltimore a few years ago, they said the inner harbour area was really nice. I would love to visit the US some day and see all of the major cities, its something I definatley plan on doing as soon as I can.

Venice, Italy - a few photos I took a while ago:

It's a pretty nice place to live in, if a bit annoying at times (billions of tourists in the summer, the heat, the fact that you have to schlep your luggage to the nearest boat stop when you travel....you name it). I am in the process of moving to Trieste with my family - nice place, but I fear I will miss Venice - I DID grow up here after all.

This is Trieste's main square, Piazza Unità d'Italia:
