Sun Jun 05, 2005 2:14 pm

"A waitress was walking by and I saw it sitting right on top of a plate she was getting ready to serve - I was intrigued by it and took it off the plate," said Marland, 29, of Walcott.

This may be the martini talking, but if I *ever* spend two hundred clams on eight inches of something, it sure as hell isn't going to be a french fry.

Geez Rsmith, as a UA employee I would think you could find better things to do with $197 than buy a fry.

The $197 could have bought some out of luck family quite a few meals, but now it is going to an enterprising waitress, who was most likely in need of a few extra bucks herself. That is a guess though, I just don't know too many waitresses who are rolling in cash.

Maybe if that out of luck family tried selling stupid shit on Ebay they wouldn't be so out of luck.
Things were better when it was two guys in a dorm room.

I was not aware that there should be limits on what you spend your money on. Lets make people just give all of their money to poor people. It makes sense.......freedom to buy whatever you want I guess is not such a good thing.....
