The End Of The Ebola Virus?

Mon Jun 06, 2005 7:34 am

The disease that has spawned quite a few horrible movies, may soon be preventable.

Canadian researchers have developed a promising vaccine that seems to prevent the Ebola virus from making monkeys sick. In addition, the vaccine is effective against the Marburg virus, which has stricken the Angolan capital.

Ever read "The Hot Zone?"

Read it on my first DC-10 flight, DFW-HNL-OGG.

Yes! That was one of my favorite books that I read when I was younger. There is also another good one by the same author.

Yeah, the book talks of Marburg and Ebola. Was an interesting read. But I do have to correct myself. I just opened the book because I wrote what flight I was on, and it was the overnight HNL-DFW flight on the DC-10-30 of AA. Flight 12 perhaps? I can't remember. God, I miss those old fat birds. Looked great in the AA scheme.

Haha, this is slightly off-topic but I was on the beach in AUA, and was reading that book, and decided to rest my eyes, well I rested the book down on a location of my body that a few hot girls started laughing their a$$es off at, it took me a while to figure out what they were laughing at.
We're gonna do what we like to call a "jetBlue how do you do", which is slang for dumping a bunch of fuel in the ocean
