Making DvDs That Work 101

Mon Jun 06, 2005 11:29 am

Im trying to burn a movie onto DVD. I need pointers. Im not sure what file format (i assume .avi) to burn them as,and what about codecs?

Im trying to put a .avi file that requires the divx codec.

I really need help from some experts.

I'm no expert (at all) but I just thought I'd share that I was under the impression mpeg files worked best for burning DVDs.

But hey, what do I know? I haven't managed to burn a successful DVD yet myself.  Smile

I've burned lots of successful DVD movies. The software I recommend to you is Nero ultra reloaded 6. I can take divx files and xvid as well. I can also do Dolby 5.1, The program is easy to use and produces great results. If you need to compress your mpeg movies I recommend dr.divx, as it will compress them into divx.
