US subscription satellite radio companies will now be allowed to sell equipment and subscriptions in Canada, but the CRTC will require strict content laws.

I have Sirius here in Florida and I absolutely love it!

After listening to XM for the past 6 months, I've heard of a lot of Canadians that just buy the receivers here in the US and just use them back in Canada anyway. It seems to work just fine.

How does billing work then? I thought they couldn't (until now) sell in Canada.

I guess they use a credit card... or maybe a PO box in the USA? All I know is I've heard callers from "up there" haha.

I have it too XFM and yes you do need a US mailing address, mine is in Marco Island Florida so that is my loop hole. Works just great in SW Ontario.

Up until today, I wasn't even aware that it wasn't legally available in Canada. But it will be a welcome addition to many people who spend many hours in their cars.
