Unusual Weather In Your Country!

Fri Jun 17, 2005 10:08 pm

Any weather enthusiasts here? Well in Argentina it's much warmer than normal in the northern 1/3, temperatures are around 15C (60s) in the morning! But in the south it is very cold. You can check out the huge differences north to south on the following link:

I thought it's cool...

Well, it has stopped now, but for the past week or so here in NJ it has been around 90F with humidity through the roof. It has been unbearable, and we even got school off early one day.

It is currently 27C and sunny here, quite unusual! We are supposed to have an extremely hot (by UK standards) summer here, we've already had some pretty good weather but in the last week it has rained a bit. I'm looking forward to the next 2 weeks as it's supposed to be warm and sunny, 25C.

Sunny and 25C in England? No way! And yeah I know it has been very hot in all the United States in the last week.

In contrast, the ski resorts down in ARG are having the best openings in two years, and some opened much earlier...

The forecast for the weekend in Cologne is 30°C.
That`s normal for June, but the climate became hoter here in the last 15 years. For August we expect 40°C+ again.

sun  It's 22 C in a sunny Friday morning in Guatemala City, and the sky is so clear that makes you want to send your work down the sewer and head for the nearest beach. Although in the afternoon it will go down to about 15 C and rain dogs and cats... talk about weather change!

In Portland, Oregon, it's a rainy 65F, which is quite chilly for this time of the year. We had a record dry winter, but we are paying now.

Extremely unusual weather here in Caracas. It has been raining every single day since a month ago. I'm starting to worry about floods. The river that crosses Caracas has risen its level and it is kinda close of flooding. It's scary :S

Sadly everything it's normal here at the moment: 36ºC today (about 98ºF) in Madrid...and no signs of rain. Now this would be the worst part, as it's likely that most of Spain will have serious problems with water supply by the end of this summer. It's being the worst lack of rain in the last 60 years and a big part of our territory is in great danger of becoming a desert.

This summer is also expected to be VERY hot. I just hope it won't be as hot as it was 2 years ago, when some places in Spain reached temperatures as high as 52ºC (Sevilla, Badajoz, Caceres) or 49ºC (Madrid). That was horrible and the worst thing were not only the high temperatures but how long they lasted...about 3 months living in hell.

I prefer winter, and this last winter we had some low temperatures here...as low as -13ºC in the Madrid's outskirts or -28ºC in the Navarra highlands (Pyrenees).

Last week it was 28 degrees ... in June! Apparently it has been one of the maximum temperatures for June ever recorded. Oh, and a few days later it got down to 2 degrees ...

It's been so cold here in ADL; it was 12 degrees C today, minimum is 5 degrees C. It's been raining like crazy the whole day (for the whole week, actually)...I haven't seen the sun in days now.

Hehe..looks like you guys in the upper half of the world are enjoying the hot weather.

Um..I don't think that will ever happen...unless we experience weather like in that stupid movie "The Day After Tomorrow". Does it ever get cold in Mumbai? I've been there 3 times, and the temperature was always 30+ C..crazy place  crazy
